Michigan Jordan/Nike Apparel

Submitted by Maul on

What is your favorite new Michigan Jordan/Nike apparel so far?  How has the sizing been compared to other brands?  (ie. more slim, similar, more loose)

My favorite item was the Michigan Jordan track jacket.  But I procrastinated in buying because where I live is very warm.  Now it's sold out...

Fit weird. Tight in armpits. Long sleeves on the short sleeve shirts, IMO. I just got one that I thought would be a couple sizes too big so it wouldn't be uncomfortable.

It's not the form fitting I'm going for. The MDen staff said it was a common complaint.. But maybe if you're an 18 year old skinny dude, you're good. Now, the women's stuff fits me well. So, that is the men's season t that I had problems with. But I usually like men's t's to wear to work out, etc. So I just went bigger and it was fine.

The Nike heather sweatpants that they released on launch date. Wearing them now and they're great. Zippered pockets, more fitting which is great because they won't drag in the snow like my adidas ones did.

My wife was going to buy that for my birthday present this month. Was bummed to see they are sold out. I have the same armpit digging with the t-shirts as other people do, but I'm also just used to wearing sleeveless tanks while working in the factory during the summer. With that said I love my dri-fit shirts. I also wish my wife had bought me a much larger jersey. These Nike ones fit just like a regular shirt, so no way I'm getting my large over a sweatshirt for these late season games.

cheap. Maybe I need to take another look. I like the Jourdan Michigan Football t-shirt  and love the Vapor hat, just the right unstructured stretchiness.

On the hat photo, I thought the crossbar on the block M was too 'V' shaped and reminded me of West Virginia, but it's not as pronounced "in person."

Also got this sharp unit but haven't had to wear it yet. Looking forward to using it for cold-weather games and running: Dri-Fit Knit Hat

Yeah, but I was hoping for it to be embroidered into the garment to appear more like a Michigan-specific product.

As it is, it seems more like they just make a million navy colored garments and sew on "random customer logo" for every team that has similar colors.  Which is probably exactly what they do, but you're paying a premium for "your team here's" cheap logo sewn on versus just buying the generic navy garment with no team branding.

I got a Cutter and Buck polo like that a few years ago and immediately sent it back for the same feeling of logo sewn on generic navy shirt that they probably reuse for 50 different teams.

My family and I went to Colorado last weekend to visit colleges for my sister. Instead of buying just a general state sweatshirt, I like to get the major university sweatshirt of the state, as long as I don't hate them. I have Hawaii sweatshirt, cal, and so on. It's just a better way in my opinion to show I've been to that state more than just a general "California" sweatshirt or something

I'm not sure about the rest of the MGoUniverse, but I find that the NIKE stuff runs about one half size small - for the t-shirts, at least. The hoodie I have feels true to size and is incredibly warm.

So far, I've been a big fan of everything they've put out.

Does anyone know when the next shoe to the public will drop?

I also have the Junpman UM shoes. Love them! But I'm really looking forward to them releasing the white with charcoal gray team player jackets. Those are slick. The overpriced Junpman shorts are extremely comfy. Like swim trunks mixed with clouds. Gift cards are so much easier to spend on those instead of $70.

I picked up a Jordan Men's Michigan Wolverines Blue Vapor Sideline Swoosh Flex Hat.

Whew, that's a lot to write.

I suppose that they call this "dri-fit" because it's very light with air holes around the base of the hat. Whatever, it is very comfortable and fits well. Has the jumpman on the back.

The fitted Jordan coach hats have a problem that I run into often - the way they run what I need is a 7 5/16, but what they have of course in my range is 7 1/4 and 7 3/8. One a little too tight, the other a little too big.

Oh, and I was back in A2. Couldn't find the hat at M Den. Moe's doesn't carry them - and the Moe's people kindly sent me to Dick's, where I had to order it.

So I leveraged that into a new Jordan coaches hat, coaches sweatshirt and a pair of Walmart khakis.

For reference I'm 6'1'', 200 lbs.

The shirt, an XL, fits pretty true to size. It's maybe a touch small.

Hat was large. Depending on brand I wear from a 7 1/8 to 7 3/8. I ordered on the larger end because I didn't want it to be too small. It was huge. I sent it back and went for the 7 1/8. I'm worried it might be a little big, but wool shrinks, so it should work.

Finish of both products was nice. the interior of the sweatshirt has a good feel and texture to it. They seem like they will last; at least, I hope they will.

Bonus: Houses on base all have flag pole mounts off the front porches. Wife said she got sick of seeing all the OSU and ND flags and bought me a new Michigan flag to display. I think I'll keep her.

Edit: I tried to buy the above items from MDen, but they were out of everything. Went to http://www.collegefootballstore.com/. They had everything in stock.
