Just wanted to start a thread for those of us who weren't too much into the live blog...

Dernard has looked good passing, so he brings in DG again, and runs Dernard around the left. Then Dernard has to step back in and pass on 3rd and medium. We've looked like trash since.

Sometimes I feel borges is way too technical, like 'It works on paper so it will work now', and not feeling the flow if the game enough.

Since we give credit where credit is due, defensive play is SOOO MUCH better this year due to the coaching change(s) HC & DC, we need to be equally honest and finally admit that Borges is not effective at OC with a QB like Denard. Denard looks like a neutered version of himself. Borges took the keys to a Ferrari and has it running like a Camaro/Mustang. I have been waiting week after week for him to figure out how to best use Denard and after today have concluded he just can't. Hopefully Denard sticks around next year and Borges figure out how to run a sprad offense.

Denard braced himself by putting the ball on the ground.

That is down.  It didn't come out of his hand immediately when it touched the ground.

No replay?  No challenge?

Iowa is supposed to be weak at outside runs but they are eating us alive, and we are making Binns look like an All American.

We seem to be having success, again, running inside and short seams or curls. I'd love to see them keep it simple and mix it up like that.

Dernard looks so reluctant to run.
