They really do. I never take them lightly even when they have a crappy team like this year.
Michigan - Iowa Open Thread
call a damn TO
Aaaand 4th down conversion for Iowa.
Of course Ferentz went for it.
Did you expect any different? No, be honest.
As usual, Iowa plays like the Steelers when they play us.
Brady that is what TOs are for.
Damn. We all thought Fetentz was going to kick it.
I'm not happy with all the dink and dunks they're completing on us. I really hope Ferentz didn't get in Demens head with that earlier exchange. I havent seen much of him since..
When we get set...our defense is legit - more than legit. Every time Iowa (or any other team in the past like Nebraska) goes to a "quick" snap...something bad happens.
We have zero pass rush.
Who thought for split second thy we're gonna get away with the false start?
I can't believe we are actually letting this offense drive on us.
Why don't we cover their damn TEs?!
Tackle him low, at his feet!!
Fucking pathetic effort on that drive.
Seriously?! What the hell?
god damn that was too easy for iowa
They are pounding us.
If we play anything like that drive Calrlos Hyde is going to destroy us. This Weisman chump should be concussed at this point.
We need to get more pressure on this guy.
The defense on that drive was...well...not very good. To say the least.
In somewhat more positive news, in most non-'Bama games Michigan has had isolated drives looking like that but not repeated drives. I am hoping that past performance is indicative of future results.
So....for those people predicting them crossing the 50 twice for the whole game I hope they suck it the rest of the way. Not looking good.
Greg will adjust this. We need more pressure on the QB.
How do we still have the #1 pass defense after last week's debacle? We just made Vandenberg look like Tom Brady!
I'm excited for Ross, but we're really missing Morgan in the early going. He's been eating a lot of blocks and that was his guy (or at least it was his job to ride him into Gordon's zone) that just caught the TD. He'll be good eventually, but he's not ready.
So is there any reason why Ferentz plays risky against Michigan, but ultra conservative against everyone else?
He hates Brian Cook's criticism of him. Yes, KF reads this blog
Make the proper adjustments. Only Q1.
We may want to cover the Tight Ends and either get pressure or hands up from our front four.
Ross was out of position.
That beast of a TB is what's killing our D
You all remember when we'd put 8-9 guys at the line and it would be a roll of the dice on which 4, 5, or 6 were actually coming?
Howcome we don't do that anymore? NEED MOAR KOVACS BLITZ!
Uh we do that all the time. That's basically our standard 3rd and long defense.
Glad the referees prematurely decided that those two fumbles didn't happen. What ever happened to letting the play continue?
And Norfleet runs straight ahead again, really has some potential and speed, but also seems to lack vision.
There goes the shutout. We got manhandled
Know when Des is back?
Unlike most teams...we take precaution when it comes to concussions.
Wow Denard is something else, huh?
Yeah chew on that Iowa.
How many yards does Denard need for the record?
I'll have another..
Of Denard freezing #5
Looks like we might have to score more than 10 to win. Shouldn't be a problem with the way Denard is running.
End of 1st 7-7
Are tough on both sides of the ball.
Breaking news: Denard is fast
Why didn't Thomas Gordon pop that guy in the end zone? It looked like he laid off the hit?
