Would be nice to have our actual punter
in town for free camps
Would be nice to have our actual punter
Freaked out on a slightly low snap. Really hurts. Like a major penalty.
No team in the nation is worse than us when it comes to 2nd and 1 or 3rd and 1.
I form run for a loss. Who would've guessed.... Except everyone on the earth besides borges
Looks like the D will have to win this one for us, since we can rely on getting zilch from a Borges offense.
Yet again, opposing D seems to know EXACTLY what is coming
U could see a stacked box and blitz on 2nd down...but no audible.
Negative yards on both. Awesome coaching Borges
going with the old -2 then -1 yard rushes to keep em honest
When was the last time we converted at 3rd down? It wouldve been in the Nebraska game.....mustlve been quite a play!
We get 2nd and 1 and don't run play action? Yet, when we can't run the ball all game and are in 2nd and 11 we DO run play action...wtf?
Right. If ever a time to go play action, that was it. Classic overthinking by Borges
As soon as Green came in and we went to that 2WR/2TE Ace set, I said "HB Dive over the LG" and that's what we ran.
We ran the same play to Green int OT vs. Northwestern (on the drive where we got a FG) and it was also stopped for a loss. I believe the next play was the 3rd down pass to Gallon that went off his fingertips.
Then when we go Pistol, it's ALWAYS option. Especially in short yardage situations.
Borges' play calling is a fucking JOKE.
Why do I get the feeling we're going to see a lot of this today? Defense will play well but be constantly put in bad field position because the offense just can't do anything.
Giving up too many chunk plays right now!
Just drove his guy back and put him on his butt...nice.
Man, this D is sometimes really bi-polar
That's bend but don't break
I was talking with an OSU fan the other day that doesn't really watch a lot of Michigan games. His first comment based on his observation, was Borges is the problem.
I know it is obvious, just didn't know it was that obvious even based on limited viewing by the opponent fans.
Before or after he pooped in your cooler?
All we had to do was take the snap and fire it out to Gallon. They gave us the 1st down.
Looking slow as hell
Iowa has a less predictable offense than Michigan. How is that even possible...
It's getting hard to convince my kids what michigan football really is and used to be. They've already left the room and I don't blame them.
Hate to say it but Iowa looks better than us. We scored on one big play. Not sure how much scoring we will do the rest of the game. The D will again be asked to shut it down for us to have any chance to win....not sure on the chances of that happening. Borges needs to make an...wait for it, wait for it, wait for it...ADJUSTMENT!
Did you need this game to tell you that Iowa is a better team?
Stats seem to indicate we're pretty close. At home I'd pick us to win, on the road I picked us to lose. Which team is actually better? We beat Minnesota by a similar score and both needed OT to beat NW, and both lost to MSU by a similar score. I continue to hope eventually we turn this corner and play up to our ability, which I fully believe is better than them. But the pessimist and lack of confidence in Borges tells me we will lose.
Their O is much more organized. Each play has a purpose. They aren't randomly generated like ours are.
Can't move the ball to save our lives / Iowa can move the ball
Death by TEs!
Ugh - brutal defensive possession.
I don't get it. Why are they even reviewing that?
Let's see - they can move the ball, we can't. Guess who wins?
Any one that's watching this gm and the earlier games of the season and thinks Borges doesn't need fired is an absolute dumbass.
Why does the defense continue to bring ZERO pressure?
I miss that "OKIE" package where we put 7-8 guys on the line and only rushed 4. You never knew who was coming.
It confused the hell out of QB.
Now please call some plays that actually make sense
The last 2 drives looked way to easy by Iowa. First play of the game they blitz and cause a pick 6. Last two drives no pressure on the QB and Iowa goes right down the field. Ughh!
You have to be able to stick to a freakin TE son!!!!
He had to have lined up incorrectly...he was waaay too far to his left. We had no one to provide contain on that side of the field.
So we blitz on the first play and force a pick six... No blitzing dince
I would like some pressure from the dline. I don't like the secondary either, but right now I have more dislike for the line.
The pass rush is really not keeping a formed pocket. Guys rushing in front have to stay in front and collapse from the top. Way to many huge holes for Ruddock to move into.
Let's put some blame where deserved here on offense - Gardner has stunk to open the game. 2 bad passes and a terrible decision twice on the option plays - once to audible to it and then to not just cut up the field on the second one.
