Michigan - Iowa Game Thread

Submitted by mGrowOld on

I've never done one of these before but it's about 20 minutes to kick-off and none of the usual suspects have stepped forward so I guess it's time.  I'm feeling good about this game and think Michigan wins 24-14.  Meanwhile, over on ESPN Sparty takes on the Cats at noon so we've got plenty of Michigan (the state of)  football to watch early.

Clark looks really good today.  He is using his hands really well and pushing lineman around...this is a good sign.

Luckily Iowa is out-derping Michigan right now. Defense played well and made the stop, but that was bad time management by Hoke to call TO with 47 seconds left.

You knew Iowa was going to get the ball back to start the second half, anyway. Why give them time to go down and get a score?

The clock was running, they could've let it run down from 47 to around 25-30 seconds then take the timeout.

3rd down either complete pass for TD / incomplete = FG with around 20 seconds left. This gives you comfort in squibbing at yielding field position around Iowa 35-40 since so few seconds left.

if sacked, you have 15+ seconds to run out FG team, more than enough comparing to last week's end of game scramble to tie NW

It must be such a better feeling for the D when the offense can take the good field position presented to it and score a touchdown (a/k/a Nebraska, MSU, etc.)
