Wolverine In Iowa

Thanks!  I watched the parkinggod highlights this morning, and then at lunch with family at a restaurant, BTN had extended highlights of the game on.  Now, I will watch this.  Winning is a good, good thing.

Could someone recommend software that is good for capturing YouTube videos?

I will use this more to make some kid-friendly DVDs for long car rides with our young boys, but I will also sprinkle an occasional classic M highlight in there for their (and my) enjoyment!

(Yes, I have googled, but it's hard to tell what works well and what might just be malware.)

I keep watching Drake Johnson's performance and wondering why we haven't seen him or that all that much, but it feels good to watch the highlights of a win in any form this season really. Indiana playing a QB otherwise buried on the chart and all that, of course, but for 2014 purposes, not a bad watch at all. Thanks for sharing this.

Anyone see what happended during the SL-SF game that just ended.  I was following on gametracker (not televised in NC) and it looked like SF drove down to the one yard line of SL with seconds left down by three, then on the third try fumbled the ball to SL to end the game instead of kicking the field goal to go into overtime.  Not really OT if we are looking for SF to not make the playoffs, but there it is.

There were 10 seconds left and sf had a timeout left. Snapped the ball and fumbled on a qb sneak. Clock continued to run as the ref signaled St Louis ball with 2 seconds left. They did however piss that game away.

They just showed the play during the NE-Denver game.  Kaepernick fumbled on a sneak on 3rd and goal with ten seconds left.  Obviously a coaching snowflake - JH has no business coaching SF or any NFL team for that matter.

San Francisco is 4-4 in a conference where there is a clear hegemon (Arizona at 7-1). I may make a full post on this later tonight but things are looking good at the moment for at least one of the Harbaughs to not make the playoffs making them available starting around December 27, assuming one or both want to go back to college. It's almost like fate since if we make a bowl we could play the bowl, let Brady go/have him resign, and then get one of the Harbaughs almost immediately after.

This is a fluid situation and the Raven division is a mess. The fourth place team Cleveland Browns are above .500(!) and the race for that division crown could be very interesting.

Again, not saying this is likely to happen but right now this cool website for NFL playoff chances is saying there is roughly a 50% chance for each Harbaugh that they will not reach the playoffs (source: playoffstatus.com). The 49ers lost to the Rams in Santa Clara who are now 3-5 while the Ravens have a huge game tonight against the Steelers.

Should be interesting to watch but yeah my number one concern is Michigan winning the rest of the games because I think Brady is gone regardless of what we do in the weeks to come.

Sagarin projected spreads have been a little worse for Michigan than the Vegas observed spreads. Thus, I think the outlook is a tad better than the numbers below. Anyway, according to just the numbers as footnoted below, the chances of becoming bowl eligible improved from 10.7% last week to 22.0 percent, with a 6.3% of the 11.3% increase coming from the Indiana win, and 5.0% coming from updated Sagarin rankings, most notably a drop for Northwestern from 56 to 71 after the Wildcats got destroyed by Iowa.

Likelihood of Winning Each Remaining Game

Proj Spread Opponent Win Likelihood Sagarin Rank Last Week Sagarin Rating
---- Mich ---- 70 71 69.21
------ -------- ---------- ------- --------- -------
-2.7 @NW 42.8% 71 56 68.77
-3.2 MD 41.7% 40 41 75.53
-20.6 @OSU 8.5% 15 16 86.66

Probability Distribution of Regular Season Record

Enjoyed this win. I think as long as the O line opens holes, Harris is more than capable of running through them. I see huge upsides for this kid.

Awesome game from the whole team 135. We played great because everybody did their load of work. Gardner passed to 11 different targets, we used 4 different Rbs and D-line was oustanding with Clark, Mone, Taco, Beyer, Pipkins and more! Go blue! Also, Johnson's mom has been the cheerleading coach at Michigan for over 20 years, WOW.

"Whenever there's a hole, I'm just gonna get through it as fast as I can," Johnson said. "Because if I'm gonna sit there and jump around, I'm gonna get hit. I don't want to get hit. So I figure the more I run without getting hit, the farther I'm getting down the field. "

Between Drake being given the chance late in the year (after it is screwed) and showing a burst that has been not shown by any of the other backs AND that  awewome 2pt conversion play brought out by Borges one game too late against K-State?

Just curious.

Last year I said Johnson reminded me of Mike Hart and not just because of the number, but because of the vision. I got lambasted because he only played well versus a MAC team. IU wasn't much better...but I'm glad people are starting to see some of the same things.

He's not the biggest or the fastest or the strongest, but he's just big, fast and strong enough. I think if Green was on Alabama he'd be All-SEC. But he's not...and with this line, I've always liked Johnson and Hayes just because they have better vision and speed even if they're not as talented.

Johnson is the perfect RB for THIS OL and THIS team. I see a couple more solid games for him.

NOTE--  what I call, 30-Veer RunPlay.  This was with Smith I believe.  Good gain.  From what I call  BLUE-set.  Ie-  2xTEs, 1-RB.  Something out of the Old Debord M-Hart offense.

For you Hardcores out there, this is the New RunPlay I thought I saw--  several times in fact.

I am encouraged by this.  It certainly does NOT look like much of a RunPlay.  About as basic as it gets.  But I want to keep an eye on this.

NOTE--  ZONE or MAN block scheme for this  ??    WHY-- do we call this VEER  ??
