Michigan Illinois Replay on Espn U

Submitted by JayZ1817 on

Not sure if someone else already posted this and if they did please delete this but yesterday's classic is on the air right now. Feels like I'm about to watch a 5 day marathon.

Man that interception where Denard threw a bit behind Webb (before Illinois' second FG) was good for a TD if he hits that in stride. Good play, good route, great read. Those will come with experience and shoulder health.

7-6 after one in pretty funny considering where we ended up. It is amazing how well the D played in the first quarter, only giving up 2 field goals.

We always do this and it really messes with me. Play strong, inspired defense the first quarter or so and then it's downhill from there. Whatever it is (coaches changing schemes, players get in groove, etc.) needs to be figured out. I think we will actually play with a great defense the whole game and then at the end of the game the scoreboard says 65 for opposing team.

I can only laugh now, but on Illinois' 2nd touchdown (long Ford run) Vinopal completely falls down for no apparent reason. Ford got him so turned around he tripped over his own feet. That was funny, but only now.

Lets hope that doesnt happen again, ever!

I think Griese said their defense was 90th last year. Before the Michigan game, they were a top 20 defense. Now granted, their defensive rankings will slip, but they should gain some ground over the next few weeks.

This is proof to all the RR haters that there is hope for our defense next year.

It was a 4th and 1 (maybe two), was anyone surprised that we didn't go for it?

I thought we had a good chance of getting it and keping the drive going for possibly a td before half. We converted a 4th and ten earlier and failed on a 4th and 6.

that the guide is wrong and this is actually on until 3 AM.  No way is the second half and 3 OTs getting covered in half an hour, even with major editing.  Guess I'm staying up an hour later than I planned.

I think he's saying that it doesn't make sense for a game that goes into triple OT to be edited so that the first half is 1 1/2 hours and the second half plus all OTs are only 1/2 an hour. I'm sure everyone knows the replay is heavily edited for time, it just wouldn't make sense to divide the game coverage that way.
