They must have good editing because its a 2 hour telecast instead of the slightly over 4 hours live!

Man that interception where Denard threw a bit behind Webb (before Illinois' second FG) was good for a TD if he hits that in stride. Good play, good route, great read. Those will come with experience and shoulder health.

7-6 after one in pretty funny considering where we ended up. It is amazing how well the D played in the first quarter, only giving up 2 field goals.

We always do this and it really messes with me. Play strong, inspired defense the first quarter or so and then it's downhill from there. Whatever it is (coaches changing schemes, players get in groove, etc.) needs to be figured out. I think we will actually play with a great defense the whole game and then at the end of the game the scoreboard says 65 for opposing team.

It was only the 2nd quarter that was all that high scoring. Other than that we gave up 6/0/14 and then the TDs in OT obviously skew the numbers.

M wins by two. Book it.

Illinois scores 65..in a loss. Book it.

No way. I saw that happen in a dream on Saturday, no way does it happen in real life.
Wait a minute...

I can only laugh now, but on Illinois' 2nd touchdown (long Ford run) Vinopal completely falls down for no apparent reason. Ford got him so turned around he tripped over his own feet. That was funny, but only now.
Lets hope that doesnt happen again, ever!

tackle attempt on that play also left something to be desired.

I actually thought the same thing. I had to look up who #20 was after seeing that play and was surprised that it was Vinopal.
November 8th, 2010 at 2:08 AM ^
I remember thinking "hey, Vinopal's pretty fast. oh crap, he fell down."

like to know is where the hell was james rogers??? i understand that he was on the other side of the field, but he should have gotten over the RB a lot sooner then at the goal line...
November 8th, 2010 at 10:05 AM ^
He was being blocked by a receiver and the ref on the play

I think Griese said their defense was 90th last year. Before the Michigan game, they were a top 20 defense. Now granted, their defensive rankings will slip, but they should gain some ground over the next few weeks.
This is proof to all the RR haters that there is hope for our defense next year.

left until halftime the score was still 21-21. Its insane that it ends up 31-31
November 8th, 2010 at 1:16 AM ^
Avery's coverage wasn't that bad on the td he gave up. The ball was a wounded duck, but was right on spot.
November 8th, 2010 at 1:23 AM ^
It was a 4th and 1 (maybe two), was anyone surprised that we didn't go for it?
I thought we had a good chance of getting it and keping the drive going for possibly a td before half. We converted a 4th and ten earlier and failed on a 4th and 6.
November 8th, 2010 at 1:24 AM ^
that the guide is wrong and this is actually on until 3 AM. No way is the second half and 3 OTs getting covered in half an hour, even with major editing. Guess I'm staying up an hour later than I planned.
November 8th, 2010 at 1:28 AM ^
they edit it due to time restraints
November 8th, 2010 at 1:35 AM ^
I think he's saying that it doesn't make sense for a game that goes into triple OT to be edited so that the first half is 1 1/2 hours and the second half plus all OTs are only 1/2 an hour. I'm sure everyone knows the replay is heavily edited for time, it just wouldn't make sense to divide the game coverage that way.
November 8th, 2010 at 1:31 AM ^
They edit out all the shots of GERG applying hair gel throughout the game to keep its hold from the breeze
November 8th, 2010 at 1:46 AM ^
make that tackle on third down again makes me wish he had used that same technique against Adam Robinson.
November 8th, 2010 at 1:50 AM ^
I hope that's the case.
November 8th, 2010 at 1:57 AM ^
This is the best I have seen him this year.
November 8th, 2010 at 2:59 AM ^
Lame, wasnt watching because my Tv guide said KState-Texas
November 8th, 2010 at 11:07 AM ^
I DVR'd this, only to discover that it ended after two hours - when the replay was in the third quarter. Come on.

If you don't have ESPNU, I'd bet large monies that the Big Ten Network shows this some time in the near future.
