Michigan Ice Dancing Dynasty Continues: US Champ Baton(s) are passed
I was going to begin this post, "While we're waiting for the next Hello post..." I was too late. But the dynasty of U of Michigan students in national (and world) ice dancing continues. Reigning Olympic champs Charlie White & Meryl Davis are sitting out this year, so our own Evan Bates & his partner (non-UM-alum-but-Michigan-dweller) Madison Chock won this year's US championship...
with the Shibutani Sibs (Alex & Maia) taking the silver. (They're the ones who aren't Charlie & Meryl in the picture below, chosen for those new to the board who are skeptical of their credentials.)
Charlies approves.

Ha! Good memory, and thanks Michigasling. What's funny is I'm confident that my 3 college roommates are going to combine for at least 13 straight national championships when it's all said and done.
2010 - 2014 (5 years): Charlie & Meryl
2015 - 2018 (4 years, my prediction): Evan & Madi
2019 - 2022 (4 years, my prediction): Shibs sibs
What a fricken run for UM.

Surely you can capitalize on this and pimp yourself as at a paid roommate to future nationals/olympics hopefuls.
