Michigan Ice Dancers US Champs - Heading to Vancouver
Kudos to Meryl Davis and Charlie White, juniors at Michigan, who just won the US ice dancing championships and will be heading to Vancouver. Two sophomores, Emily Samuelson and Evan Bates came in third and may also be heading to Vancouver as part of the US olympic team.
These kids are amazing athletes and we should all be proud. Leaders and best comes through again.
Wolverines were mentioned several times - GO BLIE!
Ice dancing has had a big following for a while. Check out Tanith Belbin if you want to know why.

I went to high school with Evan. He's a good friend of mine.

Ice dancing has never really been my thing, but I heard about them because of this video. FWIW, it's a pretty well-done representation of Indian dance, and it's made them hugely popular among Indians.

+1 for the advice to check out Tanith Belbin...
So she trains in Ann Arbor?

Don't know if she trains in A2, but if she does, it might be worth a side trip before or after a hockey game. At the last winter olympics, male interest in ice dancing went off the scale when Tanith Belbin showed up, at least according to ESPN.
