Well I was class of 99 also (1999 correct?). It is not about age, I'm 38 btw. Knowing the history is great, but harping on it every time anything relating to Michigan football is done is over the top. We have, what many consider, the best football coach both pro and college, but yet you want us to concentrate on the 70's and 80's. Those were good times, but let Harbaugh Harbaugh (verb). Let him create his own memories and not have to live under someone else's. OSU and Alabama don't have hype videos full of their past successful coaches. Time moves on, so should we.

How long ago was that again? It does count, just not terribly relevant. All I'm saying is that it's time to let go of letting the past define our future. Harbaugh is the only coach we have had in the past 40 years who openly acknowledges that he wants to win national championships, not just the BIG10. I know you have to win the BIG10 in order to get there, but it's just good to hear a coach say he has bigger goals.

It's mostly because of that sentiment.  We have a lot to be excited about because of last year's product.  It's been awhile since we've been able to say that.  The Bo-Mo-Lloyd era highlights are timeless, but there's real belief now that more long lasting memories are on the way.

Harbaugh exists because of Schembechler.  Jim would be a completely different man if it wasn't for Bo.  He admits it and it's true.  Let's not try to forget who we are....and it's MEEESHIGAN from Yost all the way to Jim-BO.  Everybody knows.  I love the video though!  Just would love to see Bo because that's who we are...that's who Jim is.

Fantastic way to start the day while sitting in traffic! Makes me hate these God forbidden months of June, July, and August that much more. Can it just be Fall already?

Football will be here soon.

I was looking for a player with 100 on his back (based on yesterday's "There are..." post).

Thanks for posting; nice work.

Serious question here: Do you guys like videos with more traditional clips (heisman pose, David Boston getting hit, etc) as part of these videos or more of a fan of newer clips? What's the balance that you prefer?

I like the mix of the past but only if plays are from years past (Woodson, Howard, Boston hit, etc.) but not highlights from the previous year from players who left. For example for a 2016 hype video you can have the Boston hit but not Henry highlights (I need time to adjust to players leaving). Also, I have mixed feeling about highlights from games I know we lost. For example, the Clark on Miller hit is awesome, but we lost that game.

Huh, interesting. I would think more recent big plays, even if they're from players who just left (Henry) fit better in a 2016 hype video rather than plays made 20 years ago. Agreed on highlights from games knowing we lost. Think they're still awesome clips, but it's a reminder of how that game went.

It's like going to the strip club. Just a tease of what you can't have. Unless....can this video take me to the back room and show me a real game for $50?

Well done. I normally find that hype videos either have way too much from last season or way too much historical stuff (at least recently with the mediocre seasons), but thought this struck a nice balance. And was very well produced. Nice work.
