Here is the poll. Seems reasonable, but honestly, teams 4-9 feel pretty interchangeable at this point.

It was that they dominated - and I think it was pretty clear that if MSU hadn't let up on the gas midway through the 3rd quarter, ND would have lost by a lot more than the final score indicated. Sparty looked like a totally different team than the one that struggled against Furman. Sure, one could say that Dantonio had two weeks to prepare his team, but he had FOUR weeks to prepare for Furman, and, yeah....

For some reason, every team that plays MSU tried to play a grind out game. You can do that if you are Alabama. When ND started taking chances, things looked different. MSU is pretty good inthe trenches with experienced players. That has been their MO. While State played well, they looked vulnerable in secondary and ND did better late in the second half.

Your point is valid, but we'll probably try to do the same thing. We'll be playing man ball and try to beat MSU with a good power running game. If Speight is playing well enough, I would love for us to enter that game with an aggressive passing mentality. MSU always seems to play us tough in the trenches with their D line and our O line is still rather questionable.
