He'll be back for the home series against lake state on 1/6-1/7.
Michigan HAS to pick things up if they expect to contend for a CCHA Championship. Non-conference games against northeastern and union don't help the matter because it gives other teams chances to get ahead of Michgian even more. After that it's AT alaska and then the home and home with state. And then before you know it it's off to the GLI.

this game tonight and here's why. We stand on the threshold of killing the Bucks next weekend for the first time in a long time. I'm sick of using Michigan hockey and overall records on why we are better damn it I want to kill them on the field and next weekend we are going to do just that. We win next Saturday and their precious streak of 8 years in row will be gone, over, kaput. That's 365 straight days of bragging rights about a sport we have dominated in since the beginning of time it seems. The only thing I care about is November 26th and humiliating those assholes to tears. This (as sac religious as it is to say) loss tonight doesn't bother me at all. I'm in way too good of a mood.

I'm not letting this performance on the ice tonight ruin the day for me. Michigan destroyed nebraska and ohio lost and has a record of 6-5. If Michigan can beat them next weekend, words cannot describe how happy I will be.

...until game is over. What was Michigan's record when they beat that undefeated #2 in country OSU team in mid90s think it was? I think we were 6-3 or something like that. Season in ruins; only thing to play for was beating OSU, which we did. (Gawd i loved Cooper! Forget Meyer, OSU ought a bring back Coop! C'mon! You know you wanna!) I'll wait till the game is won to do my celebrating (but then I will do a lot of celebrating & hoping it's the birth of a whole new Carr & predecessors vs Cooper era!)

I do not just use the hockey team as a crutch to blend over us losing to OSU for upteen years in a row. I'm an actual fan and I care about them winning. It would've been easier for you to just say "I'm not a Michigan hockey fan"

I just hope Michigan isn't in one of those situations like in 2009-10 where they sleepwalked through the whole season and started playing good hockey during the CCHA Tournament and had to get into the NCAAs by winning the playoffs.
I wanted to throw up during that CCHA Tourney title game against northern at the Joe, because it was either do or die. High pressure.
