The one thing I dislike about hockey is how easy it is for a team with far less skill to muck up a game and hope they get a couple lucky bounces (or a lucky disallowed goal).

I'm always kinda baffled when I see guys who I'm sure spend hours and hours practicing to shoot the puck, struggle to shoot directly on the net. We had quite a few shots on that last power play, where our guys just flat out missed the net. Though that's hockey. And MSU just got a really lucky goal to win.

In reality now that I've cooled down after cursing the dumb piece of shit ref for 10 minutes, this winning streak couldn't last forever. Red will work these guys into the ice this week and probably tomorrow. Michigan will not be in a close game situation one week from tomorrow. I have feeling that game in Chicago will be a lot like The Big Chill outdoor game. These guys are better than this and this will be a blip on the radar similar to the last time Michigan lost to these assholes at JLA in 2010-11. Remember what happened that season in the conference race and NCAAs?

sick and fucking tired of overmatched (on paper) Spartan teams coming out with more fire than our teams and kicking our butts?  I've fucking had it with that shit.  Where is the Michigan pride?  State's hockey team FUCKING SUCKS this year, and we looked like shit tonight.

That did not happen, and Sparty is mediocre this year.  They played their style, which is not great for our style.  We want an offensive game with a lot of flow and transition chances.  They don't allow that by playing a passive game, relying on their goalie, and praying for luck.  They got lots of it and we got none.

I'm not the one who negged you, but that’s the way the school rivalry works when we play OSU or MSU in various collegiate sports. It’s not just in football. The MSU kickball team would be pumped up to beat us. I feel they just got lucky tonight and their goaltender made some decent stops.

Here's a piece of advice: throw the records out the window when these two teams play on the ice. Cliché, I know. But the only time I've seen a Michigan just utterly overwhelm and destroy state was 2008-09 when they went 5-0 against them. There aren't many clean sweeps in this series.

You're going by the mouth-breather's claimed series record against us.

The official series record is 149-128-19 as of tonight. Despite them citing us having 3 more wins over them (and we will pick up 3 more wins against them this year), they claim an extra win against us which is BS.
