Michigan has never faced AIC. AIC is out of the AHA and is based in Springfield, MA.

This team has the talent to challenge for the B1G title. They can win their next 7. Throw the records out at BC if that happens.

but if we pull ourselves together, there's actually a reasonable path to the tourney. As it stands today, we only have six games vs ranked teams the remainder of the year:

BC, Tech, Minnesota x4

27 games left, 6 vs ranked teams. Realistically we probably need 20-23 wins to get in the tournament and we're about to be 3-5. That'd mean we need to go roughly 20-7 to finish the season which is...unlikely. But possible I guess?

Maybe you haven't checked the records lately, but BC is in the same position as Michigan is. They lost to UConn, got smoked by Harvard, and just snuck by MSU tonight to get to 5-5-0.

Underpreforming talent, no heart. BC fans are saying it's the end of the Jerry York Era. Which could make things interesting for Michigan if York retires and a certain assistant doesn't get the job...

Considering they're on a 15 year tournament streak, have won their conference 3 of the last 4 years, and have won 3 of the last 7 national championships I feel they may be overreacting a bit.

North Dakota has patented the "Start really crappy but still make the Frozen Four anyway" method of hockey. BC will still be in the tournament at the end of the year.

Exactly why I said throw the records out.

BC was the better team while Michigan was struggling in their last two meetings, and Michigan took both of them.

Completely agree. The B1G conference is terrible and that is putting it lightly. Wisconsin has yet to win a game. PSU can only beat tin cans, Ohio just lost to BGSU, minny just lost to Duluth, sparty and BC had a pillow fight tonight. Even though our defense has looked like hot garbage, we see still seen to challenge minny for the title.

Hearing the BTN sideline girl talk about Red's accomplishments at Michigan makes me miss the days of competing for Frozen Fours. Seems like a long time ago now

Really need to go on a run leading up to the potentially very nasty stretch starting with BC on 12/13. Should Ferris lose to MSU, we might be looking at six straight top 10 teams there. Winning the next 6 or at least going 5-1 is probably necessary if we hope to make the tourney as an at-large

to put the Wings up 4-1 against the Hawks with 2:09 left.

Great overall game for the Red Wings tonight. Most SOG (35) against Chicago all season, and the Wings first regulation win against the Blackhawks in 12 games. Hard to believe...

This program is in need of a change sooner rather than later. There will be no NCAA tournament this year. Smell the coffee. As much as Berenson has done for the hockey program at U of M, something for which to be grateful & thankful, his time is over. It is time to make changes. Hopefully a new AD will see what is before him/her and take measures to get this program back to prominence.

Everyone seems to be missing an important point while calling for Berenson's head.

In his own words, he said that if he feels like he can't lead the program he will retire. No tournament this year, he'll step down. If they win, he's only got 1 year after this anyway.

So everyone is calling for a guy to be fired, who will be removing himself.
