but I am biased and would throw in
4. Stop screwing over the student section.
found that at #1, bumping dancing band director to off the list. Because that one is our responsibility to implement, just like the throwing of zamboni shoes
Needs to be given free tickets for life to dance
who stay for four full years.
if any of us could legitimately complain about the quality of recruits we get in hockey....
I didn;t include dancing band director.
My first choice had to be move the speakers. From our seats they block the view of the scoreboard.
but I'd opt more directly for dancing GIRLS.
FRRREEEEE PPPIIIIZZZAAAAAA!!!!
Edit: Probably need to look at those bleachers sometime too.
...at MVictors.com agrees with you about your number one priority.
Put the band back in the loft where they belong. From there, they fire the sound straight down the ice & everyone hears it really well. From the location where they were last time I was there, they just shot the sound across one zone, student section had a hard time hearing them, etc. I get that you want the band closer to the students or something probably, but you gotta think of the effect it has.
Also, DAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEE!!!
with replacing the band in the loft, is that the band is now significantly larger than the loft.
However, as I recall, the bleachers are being replaced in Yost this summer. If I'm recalling correctly, I believe they are also going to move the band again, though I'm not sure where (my money would be expansion of the loft and replacing them there, but that's just a guess). I could not tell you for certain if they actually will move the band, or even if I'm remembering the new bleachers for this season correctly, but I believe I remember reading that somewhere, when BM was still AD, before the article with DB talking about fixing up Yost a little bit, with the bleachers and the scoreboard. The second article is what is making me unsure of the renovations being done this summer.
If only, if only the band director still danced. I think that's the problem with our recruiting nowadays. Nobody wants to come to a school where the band director doesn't dance.
