Michigan Hockey schedule news
Just a little bit of Michigan Hockey 2015-16 schedule news:
It appears that B1G Day, the hockey/basketball doubleheader set to take place between Michigan and Penn State on January 30 and Madison Square Garden, will have Penn State losing a home game in BOTH Hockey and Basketball.
It was already known back when the B1G released the 2015-16 Basketball matchups that PSU would be losing their home game and would be the "home" team at Madison Square Garden (a Maize and Blue building).
Penn State's home schedule leaked (which has since been removed) and it shows that they will only play Michigan once at Pegula Arena (on Thursday, January 28).
Also, Ferris State released their schedule and they will come to Yost in a random, February, single non-conference game.

That non-conference is really bad.
is that the team you mean?
The non-conference schedule (specifically HOME non-conference) is horrendous
Why do we do this? nobody wants to see Robt Morris, Mercyhurst and Niagara or even Dartmouth. Worse yet, we'll probably lose at least 2 of these games. Even if we win them all, its of no help in the pairwise because these three teams will be at or near the bottom. Maybe this schedule is a recognition that the hockey team is no longer competitive on a national level and is going to be allowed to continue to slide into irrelevance. It makes me very very sad because going to Yost used to be one of my favorite things in all of life and lately its been so painful to watch this program collapse. And the worst part is no one seems to care one bit.
I keep seeing rumblings / rumors that we've had trouble getting big teams to come to A2 and we've apparently been asking for 2-for-1's from some other teams. I believe Northern was particularly pissed about this.
I think we're learning as Spath was indicating we should have some big series in a few years, but we appear to be reaping the rewards of a bit of arrogance from a few seasons ago.
Again, I don't have any first hand knowledge, but people always seem to imply that when Michigan's schedule comes up
Hey litwild, I have 2 great hockey season tickets in section 6. WIll trade the Dartmouth weekend series of 4 tickets for 2 Michigan State football tickets.
