Michigan Hockey Question Why Did the Jersey Brand Switch from Adidas to Reebok?

Submitted by WingsNWolverines on
I do not know if somebody already posted this at the beginning of the season or maybe I wasn't paying attention but I just wanted to know why did Michigan's Hockey Program switch from Adidas to Reebok like the pros did with CCM to Reebok jerseys? I have a feeling it was for more money right?

NIke has owned Bauer since '94 but the Nike Bauer combo name didn't happen until 2006. They killed that name after about 2009 and just went back to Bauer. Reebok has been owned by Addidas since 2005, right before the Nike Bauer name came out.

I really like Reebok's hockey stuff. I was slightly skeptical at first, but I've been wearing 5K skates since junior year of high school and have had no problems at all. I prefer the Reebok logo on the jerseys, more fitting to hockey.

Reebok is owned by adidas.  Probably because there's no such thing as adidas hockey, and the company wants to promote their hockey line, which is all Reebok branded.

edit: I am obviously way too slow at typing.

Personally I like the Reebok logo being on jerseys. Reebok is known for hockey gear, not adidas.
