Michigan hockey at Northern Michigan for regular season finale

The No. 10 Michigan hockey team is at Northern Michigan for the final game of the regular season. The Wolverines sit one point behind Notre Dame for first in the CCHA, so the game against Northern has even bigger implications. The Fighting Irish host Western Michigan in its regular-season finale.

Bad enough to keep him out tonight. Red went into traditional hockey injury ambiguity mode, so no one knows anything other than "it's a lower body injury." 

We have next weekend off, which will help, and I think if it were serious enough to be season threatening, we would have heard. I hope he will be back for the CCHA tournament.

Remember if ND loses tonight, then even a shooting loss will give Michigan the cDNA title. We only need to gain one point because we have the tie breaker on them in conference wins.

I called in to complain about the commentators. A few quotes:

"Take your tears back to Washtenaw"

"Someone needs to bring Scooter a tissue"

"What kind of name is Scooter anyway?"

The guy who took my call seemed sympathetic and said they get out of control often, and said he is a hockey fan and understands where I'm coming from. I hope he gets scolded/fired. The guy said he would call.

Update: they just called me out on the feed. If you heard them talking about a guy calling in, that was me.

It was for the $7 feed from Northern. The WUPT radio guy. He responded saying he hates michigan sports and wanted RR to get a 20 year extension. Basically, he's a total ass, but I could hear his tears every time we scored. I think I actually got to him.

Anyone who actually paid, did you hear him talk about me? It's not that I wanted him to stop being biased, he was just getting mean and I paid 7 dollars to hear this shit, so I had to call. I hope it eats at him.

I have no idea. He was being a complete asshole though. It was hilarious because we beat the shit out of them. Scooter was just defending Treais, even if it was a clean hit, and the guy was saying we were "whining about every hit" and jumping to all sorts of conclusions. It was ridiculous. I have the feed, so I'm going to rewind and record what he said. I might send it in to the station, maybe not, I don't know. But I might as well have the evidence on hand. Maybe I'll post it on here.
