Michigan Hockey: National Championship Game Open Thread

Submitted by MichFan1997 on

Starting us off early today. Shut the fuck up about math problems people. We're playing in a CHAMPIONSHIP game today. The only math I'm worried about is if the sum of Michigan's goal total is greater than the sum of Minnesota-Duluth's goal total.

Barry Melrose just said the stupidest thing in the history of Western Civilization about grade point average.

I admit I'm a huge asshole, and I apologize, it's how I cheer. But I'm loyal to the end, ask the poor bastards walking up my aisle leaving the MSU Game early. And I love you guys, even if you hate me. Let's get the 'ship, and as always, ignore everything I say for the next half hour

They're starting to look like the Red Wings. An OK start, terrible middle of the game, then crushing continuous pressure to finish the game. Let's just hope that's how the 3rd goes

no matter WHAT we do, we will be in the box whenever UMD needs a lift.  I'm convinced of that.

The PPs are six to one right now, unless you count the one minute stretch we had.  We'll need two more goals and great defense to win.  Hopefully our guys see how it's stacked against them and get pissed off.

Gotta disagree. There was at least one penalty I thought was iffy, maybe two. Also, the review was correct as the rules are currently written. On the other hand, I think Hunwick was lucky that offsetting penalties were called (whatever was said probably didn't warrant the matching penalty).

I wonder how many people reading this thread are fans of other schools actively rooting for Michigan to lose.  Whoever you are, you suck and need to find your own blog.

why don't they show the goals in slow-mo? They're so hard to see sometimes. Why not freeze just before it goes in and let the viewer see what went down?
