was pretty scary.  As opposed to Friday, when Michigan was down 1-0 and I had no doubt they would come back to win, on Saturday, Michigan had a 1-0 lead and I was worried.  I thought the goaltender interference call waving off Bentley's second goal was a fair call, but if it hadn't of been made, or Bentley had scored some other way, I'm not convinced Michigan could have come back.  Michigan got two more goals late (including an empty-netter to seal it).  The seemed to be running around a lot yesterday, looking pretty unsure and quite sloppy.  Hunwick being Hunwick and a few fortunate bounces for Michigan won this game.  I'll chalk a lot of that up to it being their 5th game in about 7 and (1/8) days, but the offense looked aimless and the defense was chasing Bentley all game.  Tough to gauge too much from this game all things considered.  Saint Lawrence coming in on Thursday won't be much more indicative, as they weren't much better than Bentley last year, record-wise (I don't know the relative amounts of each team coming back), but Ferris State beat them 5-1 and 4-2 this weekend, in New York, so Michigan shouldn't have much trouble at Yost.  NMU next weekend will be a much better test, as they split with Wisconsin in Madison, 3-2 both nights.  But Merrill is good enough that I'm not sure it's completely fair to judge this team until he comes back.

Man oh man I can't wait until this hockey season gets into conference play.

Especially when the games are televised. It's more fun watching it on TV than listening on the radio.
