"Legendary Michigan hockey coach Red Berenson will be the guest on Thursday's "Slap Schotts College Hockey Segment" during Rodger Wyland's "Big Board Sportstalk" at 11:05 a.m. on FOX Sports 980 (WOFX-AM).
With the Wolverines visiting Union and RPI this weekend, we'll talk to Berenson about his career in hockey and the outlook of his team this season.

He has said in the past that his contract that runs through the end of this season will likely be his last, but I don't believe he has made a definitive statement yet that he is retiring after this year.

Hasn't he said that a few times? Guy is healthy as a horse and a damn good hockey coach. Think he's like mid 70s ... oldest hockey coach in the NCAA? Universe?

Yeah, but this is the first time (I'm assuming) where it wasn't his call. I don't think Hackett is going to offer an extension and hopefully there isn't any bad blood about Red wanting one.

anyone local to the Albany area: the AAUM-Albany are hosting a couple members of the hockey staff prior to the RPI game on Sat 4-6pm at Wofs111.
We have about 55 people with tix to each game and I'm sure RPI still has tix for sale, not sure about Union for Friday
