Michigan Hockey @ #7 Lowell Game Thread

Submitted by gwkrlghl on

Well WolverineDevotee has sworn off mgoblogging and I haven't seen CenterIce much this year. Perhaps this will be me talking to myself...

#14 Michigan (1-2-0) at #7 UMass-Lowell (2-0-1).

Michigan should probably be happy with a split this weekend (also @ #12 BU). Lets see how this goes. JT Compher is playing tonight FWIW (he was in doubt).

I want to see Hyman get the Texas Hat Trick

IIRC the last Michigan player with a 4-goal game was Kolarik back in 08(?). People at Yost had no more hats to throw

because buried underneath the fun of the 8-goal explosion is Racine giving up 4 - apparently at least one of them a soft one. Whether it's the D or Racine, you can't keep giving up so many goals. So far it's been

4, 5, 1, 4

You can't expect the team to score 5 goals a night. Racine and Nagelvoort are both solid goalies, so I'm guessing this is a defense issue (coming from someone whos only heard games on the radio this year)

Larkin and Hyman were credited with assists on that goal. Five point night and plus 4 so far for Zach Hyman. Dylan Larkin's got a goal, three assists and a plus 3 on the night so far.
