Michigan Haters

Alright so after we beat Western everyone didnt want to give us credit. Everyone said that our real test was Notre Dame. After we beat Notre Dame we still get crap that we didnt prove anything and that Notre Dame was/is overrated. Why do we get so much hate when even tho we were overmatched sizewise we still pulled out a win. It just bugs me that we dont get the credit we deserve and they always find a way to put us down

Being the #1 program all time in wins and winning percentage, the biggest stadium, coolest helmets and unis etc. will do that to people...make them hate you...thats OK, Michigan usually backs it up and plays well

That crap can get old pretty fast, but Michigan can prove it has its mojo back on the field. Folks will come around if we keep finding ways to win. Don't let it marsh your mello. Enjoy the win and leave the hatin' to the haters.

Can you link to an article, give us a quote from an analyst, or even just recount a postgame conversation please. Also, for all we know, ND might actually wind up not being that great. Thus far, they are 1-1, with a blowout win over a WAC team and a loss to a team that is also something of an unknown. Furthermore, ND managed to put up 490 yards on us. I think that Michigan is a good team this year, but we have to wait for conference play to truly gauge how good the team really is.

I live in Baton Rouge, recently moving here after graduating from Michigan in April. Usually what I do when people hate on Michigan is say that if [insert SEC school here] was so much better than Michigan, why do we have more alumni than [insert SEC school here], more fans at our games than [insert SEC school here], more tv coverage than [insert SEC school here], why do we have more Super Bowl MVPs, more NFL Hall of Famers, more Pro Bowlers, etc, etc? The strength of our team, fight song being the best, best helmets, all that is opinion (although true). I can typically silence the haters down here with that.

I live in Little Rock, and deal with these people all the time. They claim conference strength because they need an excuse as to why they can't win it. Just tell them that they can gladly kick the Buckeyes ass all they want, but they can't beat Michigan. 99 Citrus Bowl, win over Arkansas; 00 Orange Bowl, win over Alabama; 01 Citrus Bowl, win over Auburn; 02 Citrus Bowl, loss to Tennessee; 03 Outback Bowl, win over Florida; 08 Capital One Bowl, win over Florida.
