This would be some good news, not sure why he would flip at this point, staff sees we need running backs....
Denard Robinson......They're not going to catch him!
I also saw this on twitter (random person, not insider) , but it could be since Tenn. and Aub. coaches are gone, to push Green to commit? I thought that was an interesting idea.
PANIC over the status of Derrick Green. Michigan must have used Eminem to over come the USC/Snoop Dog influence.
I wonder if there is any mutual interest.
i assume we wouldn't be talking to him unless there was mutual interest.
The Coaches visit many high schools even when there is no chance of securing a current recruit. It is often about building relationships for the future.
But he's already commited to another school. Just because they're talking to this kid doesn't mean he's really still interested. Don't get me wrong I hope he is, I just wonder if he's really ready to move on from what he's commited to at USC
the timing of the meeting probably (but not definitely) means that he's at least willing to listen. the staff already built a relationship with isaac's coaches and would understand if michigan no longer recruited him after he verbally committed to usc. i bet usc's poor season, michigan's obvious need for a back, usc's other committments and poor short term outlook may have made isaac to have doubts.

Michigan = NBA Family U
What is this... And why is it not blurred off my screen yet
Ehhhh...I assume this bodes ill for Green, which...yeah...

Don't know how? A backup plan never hurt anybody. Tenn and Auburn without coaches and uncertain futures (probably even more loses headed their way). That leaves Michigan, VT, Miami, and Oregon.
Oregon: He has said he does not want to play in the spread. Probably just wants to visit.
Miami: I hope he visits. All 10 of their fans attending their games will really wow him.
VT: Close to home, could be a contender.
Michigan: One of the best OL classes in the county. Pro style set. 5* incoming QB. Head coach with a few years at the very least. Tradition. Future promise.
I wouldn't rule Michigan out.
It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.
I believe according to our buddy Mike Farrell that Green doesn't want to stay close to home, ruling VT out.
THIS IS MICHIGAN
I'm not arguing that. Michigan is by far the logical choice for Green. But that's not what makes a recruits decision. Some people seem to think he wants to stay in the South, and I tend to think that's the case. This late rekindling of things with Isaac just seems suggestive of that, to me. If there's some indication that Ty wanted to be contacted, that would redefine the situation. Otherwise, it just seems like the staff is hoping to cash in on KIffen's comparative failure, which seems uncharacteristic of Hoke' MO.

Until Green or any other running back is committed, they should still recruit other top tier RBs. Committed or not. The only thing this proves is that Green is not a silent commit. Sorry all you conspiracy theorists.

Said brother. Id be happy with green or isaac. Or... BOTH. (eyebrow raise)

Thanks, Chuckie. I would be happy with either. An elite RB is a must in my book even though we will probably be fine with what we already have.

Would feel better about this if he was reaching out to us. Still, it's worth a shot.
TomVH tweet something about news regarding a 2013 oline commit we have? Not sure if it was good news or bad...it was pay walled ....any ideas?
Denard Robinson......They're not going to catch him!
It was really good news, but since its paywalled, Im not saying anymore.
THOSE WHO STAY WILL BE CHAMPIONS
It was good news about a kid who is currently committed to a school in Cali but has some interest.
but Rivals does not show him with a UM offer. Anyone know anything more about him and UM?
I could be wrong, I do not know who it is, but I am guessing that "a school in Cali" does not necessarily mean Cal.
This might be arrogant, and if it is, it is, but we're Michigan
He didn't say it was necessarily Cal, just a school in Cali. Looking a bit south from Berkeley is probably advised.
Blank.....Blank......You're not looking at the big picture here.
If you were Hunting for the name Berkley might be a good place to start.
I'm pretty sure it's a guy committed to UCLA...Kenny Lacy I believe.
"I make plays baby, I make plays"

Kenny Lacy is another project type lineman and UCLA has 6 other O-line commits a grey shirt incoming and three of five starters on the line are freshmen. Lacy was always a soft commit to UCLA and going after him is a good place to start if this is true.
Chaos is found in greatest abundance wherever order is being sought. It always defeats order because it is better organized.
Most intriguing.
Not getting my hopes up, though
It's been a lot. Its been a roller coaster that for some reason seemed like it would never get good. But you know what? We kept fighting. It's like that old saying goes, "Those Who Stay Will Be Champions." -David Molk
Could be a reflection of Fitz's long recovery more than Green' s choice. Starting job is IMMEDIATELY available for best RB.
Plus, USC could be a tire fire with shrinking roster and Kiffin's questionable status. Stanford, Oregon and UCLA are arguably the Pac front runners for the next 2-3 years.
"Everybody wants to be a hero, so to speak. But it takes everybody." - Charles Woodson
Now this is the kind of post-OSU thread I can get behind. I'm skeptical that it's going anywhere (until/unless we hear from Isaac), but this produces much happier thoughts than memories of our playcalling and offensive line play from yesterday.
Always good to keep options open. I not going tojump to any major conclutions.
@BrOoKyLn_boii27: “@justinbush: @BrOoKyLn_boii27 Michigan still recruiting you hard?” No question
Derrick almost NEVER talks about his specific recruitment from a specific school, save for saying when he'll visit. The timing of this tweet with the Ty Isaac news is pretty interesting, IMO.
It's not like he offered up this tweet out of the clear blue.
