Michigan Football=Hoosiers?

Submitted by Ziff72 on

I caught a bit of Hoosiers on television the other day for the 83rd time and I thought how much it seems to mirror our situation.

-Coach brought in from outside to a tight rabid community that doesn't like change.

-Coach comes in with some funny ideas about schemes and conditioning

-Coach notices his talent is quite lacking in numbers and talent

-Coach clashes with players when they rebel against his teaching.

-Fans are all unhappy but divided on wether he should stay or go

-It looks like it will all end before he has been given enough time to implement his program when he is saved by an unreal talent.

-Now Denard was not refusing to play due to the death of his coach and then held a press conference for RR, but at this point do you think if Denard would say "coach stays I stay coach goes I go"  the entire question of RR's job would cease to exist and sports talk radio would die? I see a movie in about 5 years.

Parallels you bring up fit, but I have a hard time accepting the college football program with most wins all time fitting the role of a, 40 kid high school, no name underdog, that makes an unprecedented run at a title.

about Rich Rod or Denard, for that matter, leaving early for any reason.  D Rob and Rich Rod are a perfect match.  If separated, both of them would suffer.  I think we're only a couple of games away from stating for sure that Rich Rod is here to stay.  Furthermore, we are gonna have several good years of football to watch in the future!   GO BLUE!!
