Michigan Football Recap/Hype/Depression Video..

Submitted by CollegeFootball13 on

Threw this together today in a few hours.. thought it was awesome. Uploaded it to YouTube, watched it again, and found it kind of depressing with glimmers of hope. Kind of fitting with the way the last few years have gone, but not really what I had in mind when I began making it.

Exciting? Hopeful? Flat out depressing? Let me know. And I'd love to see your user-created hype (or depression-inducing) videos as well.

Also, I'd love some help embedding.

Also also, I'd recommend watching it in 480p for highest quality (obviously.)

EDIT: tl;dw? We were bad, then got better, and now have more experience, hopefully learned from our mistakes, and will be even betterer.

I'll embed it for you

great job on the video, one of my favorites so far. I appreciate the fact that you didn't speed up every click to 3x speed. I feel like that ruins the intensity of the long runs.

Well thanks man.. I was hoping they weren't too subtle. But I really do think this team, especially Rodriguez's recruits who now have a year of experience under their belts, are that much wiser and this team will make some pretty impressive strides. Defense is a big question mark, as we all know, but I like our offense's chances this season.

I'll be honest with you, I couldn't watch the whole thing. Between the negatives, and JT leaving, and hearing all the haters on the radio frothing at the mouth, I just want the season to start, to make new highlights, highlights without valleys, that will make it all go away.

Great job. The negatives are hard to re live again and again but I know that eventually all the hard times will make the good times feel even sweeter. Great vid and hopefully many more!

Thanks for making and sharing this video.  What I get out of it is this: we were very competitive last year, and could have won 3-4 more games by avoiding critical turnovers.  We stood toe-to-toe with Iowa and OSU, and indeed could have won both of those games.  Michigan State and Illinois on the road were both within our grasp also.

We have some great talent, they know the playbook much better, they're more experienced, and above all they're wounded and hungry Wolverines.  Time to KICK SOME BIG TEN ASS again.  To quote Blutarsky, "was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?  NO!!!  And it's not over now...

Illinois and Purdue? - DEAD!

Michigan State? - DEAD!

Iowa? - DEAD!

OSU? - DEAD!

That was amazing. Depressing? Yes. Beautiful? Yes. I didn't realize I had so many repressed some memories from last season...it was actually cathartic to watch some of those again.

Love the music and overall genuine and powerful nature of it. Much like life (or Lebowski) there are strikes and gutters, but above all there is hope for better days.

I had the chills throughout. Thanks.

Really excellent - enjoyed it immensely.

Take out a few huge turrnovers vs. Ohio Satate last year and we are looking at a very different 4th quarter.

Really really really good video.  I loved the choice of Explosions In The Sky for the hazy, surreal past and Angels & Airwaves for the exciting future that lies ahead.  Loved the flashbacks/improvements at the end.  Great work.  I already emailed this to all my friends.
