Michigan Football Publicly Wishes JH a Happy Birthday on Social Media

Submitted by My name ... is Tim on

The official Michigan Football facebook page, run by the Athletic Department, posted an image wishing Jim a Happy Birthday on facebook today. No idea what sort of oversight the account has - as it's likely run by an intern, I presume - but seems to me like a knowing wink at the general public.

Also, I have probably just spiraled into total lunacy at this point and am attempting to read meaningless tarot cards, but given the speculative nature of basically every post now, thought it might be worth spreading.

they asked Harbaugh what he was going to do --

"quoting my favorite philosopher .......do? I'm doing what I do.  You know, I've always done what I do.  I'm doing what I do the way I've always done and the way I'll always do it."

Scott "the Gator" Anderson (MSU slappy extraordinaire) sees it as a desperate measure by Michigan.  I don't think Scott sees the forest through the trees.

Happy Birthday Jim!

Social media:  cheap, easy, and superficial.

Sky writing:  expensive, difficult, and shows how much you really care.

C'mon, Hackett.   Quit taking the easy route and lavish him with true birthday greetings that only a sky-writing, exhaust-spewing airpline can provide.

We should also consider the possibility of making the message visible from space, or at least have it broadcast universally over a specific band of frequencies so that anyone within range of the source tuning in will hear and understand the message. If only Brandon had more time to implement "The Plan".....oh god, what am I thinking here?

If so, I think you could speculate that Mills was wished as cover for when people inevitably claim ulterior motive for wishing Harbaugh. On a side note, I'm creating conspiracy theories based on college interns' posts on social media of university athletic programs. What is my life right now? UMich has gotta do this soon...

It's funny how two groups of people can look at the same thing and draw completely different conclusions. The reaction to this from the Michigan fanbase has been, "Wow, this means it's a done deal!" while the reaction from non-Michigan football fans has been, "Wow, this is sad and desperate!"

It sucks because sometimes I like some of the stuff on there, especially Drew Magary. But more and more it seems like everyone who writes for them is just some whiney fuck who has to be offended about everything. The hipsters have finally infiltrated sports fandom, which I never thought would happen.
