After we started out 4-0 I was really looking forward to the next four years as a student at Michigan. Now, not so much. Our D will be just as bad next year.

Oh please.
Man, that is really, really pathetic.
Is this a bummer? Yes. Is there a certain amount of hyperbole in your post? I hope so. But still. You're going to one of the best universities in the US. Unless you do something Cissoko-esque, you're going to be set for life.
Further, will our D be great next year? No. But they will be better, as will the team overall. M has a BBall team on the rise, other outstanding sports teams.... a proud tradition and a bright future in regards to athletics.
If this bit of adversity makes you "not look forward" to your next 4 years at Michigan, you are a spoiled, spoiled brat and don't deserve the opportunity to be there, plain and simple.

I really look forward to being there for 4 years. Just sucks that our football team will not be good for the next 1-2 years.

Apparently my parents were thinking about sending me to Michigan's bowl game my senior year as a kind of graduation gift. Last year was my senior year.

stop drinking or I get depressed and my wife starts to hate me. Last week was rough. So far, no booze for me today!

Michigan, I wish I could quit you.

I agree. I am gonna pay a ton to buy an OSU ticket off a scalper. I am not even sure they have a chance to win that game, but I want to go to a game this year...
