I don't think this is a great comparison. Darboh had the highlight catch against BYU, of course, but he's not nearly on Avant's level as far as having ridiculous hands. But Darboh is far more powerful and explosive with the ball than Avant was - he had great success on bubble screens all year.

When Harbaugh says that Darboh is now the best receiver, does he mean that he is the defacto best receiver since Chesson got hurt, or does he mean that Darboh is playing better than Chesson was at the end of last season?  If its the latter, this due is going to be deadly this season If Chesson is back to playing like he did at the end of last season!

Jehu hadn't practiced in a long time and the opportunity presented itself to give kudos to Amara and let Jehu know that because he had the better year last season things at Michigan change daily now and what you did last season might not qualify you to be no. 1 this year. it's good, healthy competition and J.H. knows how to drive that auto better than anyone.

Also, there was a crucial drop over the middle in the MSU game last season and I can't recall if it was Darboh or Chesson. I think it was in the last series and would have put the game on ice. Both made drastic improvements from the year before inasmuch as we knew who the hell they were. With like incremental improvement and pushed by the youngsters, our receiving unit should again be near the top in the country. They will both play on Sunday imo.
