It'll be August...that's when it always comes back.

J/K, it's not weird for me because I work in college athletics. But I assume it's weird for some because basketball kept your interest for so long that the summer wasn't as long as it usually is (per se).

Recruiting Mags and NCAA '14 should be out soon. College Football is on the horizon. I love it, but every since I moved back north from Florida I've had to deal with something you all refer to as "seasons"...so I want to ride this heat/sun/long days thing out as long as possible.

(For the record, I'm from Michigan, lived there 18+ years...I know full and well the concept of seasons, but it was sure nice to be in Florida where it was warm outside during the B1G Football Season).

I agree. I miss those nice, cool fall days where it didn't feel so cold with the sun shining on you and you could hang out outside all day if you needed to.

But those days were few and far between. Most days between October and December it's either windy, cloudy, rainy, gloomy or some combination. Those beautiful fall days happen like once a week if you're lucky.

...that season seems to be getting shorter. I feel like Spring and Fall both have gotten shorter each year in the midwest.

I long for 60s at night 70s during the day. It seems like that only lasts 2 weeks these days...it's Summer or it's Winter.

If it could be Fall 300 days a year I'd be fly/shit happy. 50 days of summer, 15 days of winter. F** SPRING.

I have had a countdown app on my phone, which is counting the time left until the season, so I appreciate this post; however, mine is set to stop at the time of that first night game on Thursday night on ESPN. College football is college football and I will take it any way I can.

Downvote on sight for your tactless and insensitive comments on the Catholic Church, all the while using Mike Martin, a Catholic Central alum, as your avatar.

"Apparently criticizing the Catholic church for forcibly raping a bunch of little kids then covering it up is also taboo. And ordinary (non-church-leader) Catholics aren't off the hook either. Anyone who continues to willingly associate with that institution after what they've done deserves whatever criticism comes to them ."
