Based on the NBA finals BIG commercial from 2 years ago (with some minor wording changes).

I like it

Well done in terms of picking 10 or so of the most iconic moments and wrapping it into a concise production on a theme.

It was ok

I liked the music and the clips a lot, but some of the text wasn't fantastic.

Also, the font was incredibly grating. As were the changing colors and random underlines.

Could be a good video, but

Could be a good video, but god, that typography just blows. I wish more videographers (or whoever this was) would consult graphic designers more about this type of thing. Ruins the video for me.

There will always be critics.

There will always be critics. You could try going back into the raw file and changing the font and remove some of the underlines and other emphasis except for one or two words truly needing emphasis. As far as fonts you could just google and find a discussion about what works and what doesn't when making a sports themed video.

Just a thought.

I think the video is good. Don't let the haters get you down.

I wasn't so disappointed with the theme or content

as the impression that this was some conference-produced message, like a public service message. Creativity should always be blessed. And some creations are better than others.

The problem here is whether intent and content establish mood, tone and understanding that says what the creator has in mind. And when you have interpretive conflict, you have disconnect with the viewer. That is the problem here, as I see it. It's fine for what it is...but what is this supposed to be?

Most of the iconic imagery are iconic for a reason. They don't need screaming graphics to explain their significance.

Perhaps one of the best hype videos is the format that the school adopted for viewers in illustrating Michigan's historic achievements when it played Ohio two years ago. The usual pregame player entry and touching the banner video, was tweaked for emphasis against the Buckeyes. And the numbers came alive with iconic moments, as they were emblazoned on the screen, and a litany of current players and all-time legends intoned the exalted numbers.

We know the history, we know the facts, we know the traditions and we enjoy the replaying of them in our collective memory and how they resonate with our future and what's ahead for a new group of Wolverines.
