Michigan Embarrassing Ticket Giveaway
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:21 PM ^
I am not sure if you can post it directly from the phone - did it come with a link or something which denotes origin? We could try to find it for you if you can provide the reference.
Otherwise, you could perhaps e-mail to yourself, upload it to a photo sharing site and share it by placing the HTML code they provide in post (while in plain text mode) and then resizing it appropriately. Let me know if you need assistance.

got a laugh out of me, while crying inside.

for sky writing "Fire Dave Brandon" over the stadium on game day. Too soon? Too much?
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:55 PM ^
and I'm All In!
September 22nd, 2014 at 6:01 PM ^
"Too soon? Too much?"
No. I would contribute to your kickstarter before I donate to the University. The irony is too damn sweet.
September 22nd, 2014 at 6:04 PM ^
Hell no!
Where do i send the money?
September 22nd, 2014 at 6:32 PM ^
Raback this: you will not spend one dime of your own money on the proposition.
that shit will hit 150% of the goal faster than the 1st HTTV Brian kickstartered a few years ago. I mean 150% with a few weeks to go before the deadline.
Someone GET THIS DONE:
REGENTS: FIRE DAVE BRANDON

I'd throw 20 in.
September 22nd, 2014 at 8:41 PM ^
I would most certainly donate to this
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:25 PM ^
At least you have to buy two Cokes?
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:26 PM ^
You also get 2 tickets with two Sprites...that just seems sad.
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:38 PM ^
Iron Sheik probably says this coach drink the sprite
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:39 PM ^
No, no, no. You see, Dave Brandon is acknowledging the team's current failure. Sprite is scientifically documented to be one of the world's best hangover cures (link provided below). He understands that our fandom is now driving us to drink to an astonishing degree and is kindly acknowledging our need to recuperate while simultaneously selling tickets so as to not break the 100k streak.
Right? RIGHT?!?

So it's not really a giveaway. It costs two Cokes and/or Sprites.
September 22nd, 2014 at 7:10 PM ^
You realize that right?
September 22nd, 2014 at 7:21 PM ^
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:29 PM ^
Well the good news is when you hit rock bottom, you can't fall any farther.
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:45 PM ^
that we have not reached rock bottom yet.
September 22nd, 2014 at 8:15 PM ^
I guess Dave Brandon could hire Lane Kiffin in a midseason deal

Since when did imaginary friends require a ticket?
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:42 PM ^
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:36 PM ^
You'll need 19 other persons, since it's 2 per person.

season ticket holders to file a class action lawsuit against the athletic department?
September 22nd, 2014 at 6:03 PM ^
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:35 PM ^
Dubious. I suspect the origin of this ruse is courtesy of our friends down south...
September 22nd, 2014 at 6:42 PM ^
Nahh. The origin is the UofM Athletic Department. They are on S. State Street (Not sure if that is south from where you are).
September 22nd, 2014 at 7:45 PM ^
At least of couple of posts appear to support your OP. Is this limited to students, and available at only at university-owned stores? Only Dave Brandon could make a ticket giveaway to students appear crass, what with the strings attached (i.e., you have to purchase Coke products). Maybe we should be thankful that the promotions were not at Domino's...?
September 22nd, 2014 at 8:02 PM ^
No, not only to students. But yes, only at University owned stores.
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:36 PM ^
So you can effectively get 2 tickets to the Minnesota game (and two Coke products) for like $3? Sounds like something that would happen at Purdue. They must really be struggling to fill that section above the student section
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:36 PM ^
I'll go. Shit, it's free and I live a mile from the stadium.
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:37 PM ^
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:37 PM ^
Can you mix and match? Because I like Diet Coke but my husband is Coke all the way.
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:39 PM ^
Two free tickets for purchasing coke products. I can't believe this is real. C'mon man what pisses me off is the fact that Michigan charges outragous prices and when they start doing bad they start giving them away. That is bullshit. The fans who paid full price for tixs are getting screwed. Make the tickets a more reasonable price and stop screwing the consumer.
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:52 PM ^
How about season tickets for a case of Cokes and/or Sprites?
September 22nd, 2014 at 7:36 PM ^
September 22nd, 2014 at 8:30 PM ^
at this point, what does it matter to them if the season ticket holders paid literally 50x more for their tickets? This is just the law of supply and demand at work.
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:40 PM ^
Half empty stadium = bye bye Brandon = rainbows and butterflies for all
September 22nd, 2014 at 5:41 PM ^
This is sad. If I was a season ticket holder, I'd be in a state of shock, awe, and depression.
