would be a great get... but i think it's too late in the recruiting process to pick up the higher rated prospects like this. Would love to see some hoke magic though.

No, I don't want 5 or 6 cornerbacks, but I think Woolfolk, Christian, and Tamani could play safety, too.  We literally have no one behind Vinopal right now unless some guys change positions, so I think the coaches intend to do some shifting.

I think we could use 5-6 cornerbacks. It will finally give Michigan an oppurtunity to redshirt some guys. Nothing wrong with that. I would prefer we not get that many DBs but the thought of actually having enough depth to redshirt some guys makes me smile.

With four current cornerback recruits (Countess, Carter, Hollowell, Brown), we have 9 corners scheduled to be on the roster in 2011.  Only one will be graduating after 2011 (Woolfolk).  Obviously, five or six cornerback recruits would make that number swell to 10 or 11 corners on the roster.

We should be able to redshirt some guys this year, whether we get more cornerbacks or not.

Where he ultimately ends up might have some to do with where the DBs from this class end up.  If we get one or two that look to be solid free safeties, I bet MRob ends up at SS.  If we're still looking for a guy who can crack the depth chart at FS, Marvin will stay at FS.

Where Carvin Johnson fits best might affect this as well.

I'd prefer Raven for his versatility and tackling ability.  If I were running the show, I'd try to convince him to come in and play free safety.

McClure is a smoother player, but I'd almost want him to come in and play wide receiver.  I haven't seen a ton of film on McClure, but he seems to lack a little bit of the defensive mentality.  He's not quite as aggressive as I would like him to be.

Well, I've been discussing recruiting for a few years now, so it doesn't really make sense that you would have asked me to write for your blog, then.

"Hey, I've got an idea!  I hate this one guy on the internet, so I'm going to ask him to join my blog!"

Anyway, since you're the proud owner of the "2010 Midnight Maize Douche of the Year" award, forgive me if I don't take your insults to heart.

Speaking of deflections...

"Well, that's technically not my blog...so...ummm...you didn't really refuse to write for my blog.  You just chose not to participate in the blog that I myself asked you to participate in."

The only thing I ever asked you to do for MM was do a round table, I never once asked you to write for it. Maybe Shredder did, I don't know. This is almost as bad as that time you slipped roofies into the semi hot MICH girl of the week's drink. See what I did there.

The S position is of desperate need, we were in running for Walls, Lyons, Royster(committed to S. Carolina last nite)....what r some of the true Safety prospects we r going after now? And do we have a shot at any? I know if we sign 5-7 CBs I'm sure 1 or 2 will be converted to S

looks good but i dont think he has the top end speed to be a top corner but if he is good at jamming and coverage i think he can be a good corner. i think Floyd Raven is one of the best corners based on his speed and hands. but i think he will be a safety not a corner (Raven)
