Michigan on Coke Cans
I haven't seen this brought up but I just noticed "Michigan" on my can of Coke Zero. I don't recall us doing this in the past. Interesting to say the least -- I know MSU (ugh) has always been the one to do it. There isn't any advertising at all -- just has a picture of a football with Michigan in maize and blue above it. Did this happen last year also?

one of the brewers, I think Miller, was making their cans in local team colors, but without any trademarks or anything, a couple years ago, but I think they had to stop.

We have the puple and gold Bud Light cans in NW LA, but I just sink them in a Michigan coozie and it makes me feel better.

The had red and white for the red wings in the Detroit Area, maroon and gold in Mt Pleasant, Green and White in EL, and Maize n Blue in A2. I assume they did this in many places across the country, esp if the had specialty cans for lil ole CMU.
EDIT: obv it was a nationwide thing!

Is this a regional thing? Any chances they make it over to California. IIRC, UCLA or USC did a promotional thing with one the domestic beer companies.

can anybody conjecture how to get Michigan Coke Zero shipped to Florida?
I know it's the OSU grads that drive coke distributor trucks but maybe a Michigan grad owns a distributor and can tell me.

Our new agreement is with coke as the stadium supplier. Perhaps that's how their agreements always work. If they supply, they have the rights to put the university marks on their product?

The sad thing is that if I was looking at two packs of pop, Pepsi and Coke w/ the Michigan on it, I'd pick the coke every time regardless of whether I like it more.

Yeah, a friend of mine and huge MSU fan (I am sorry, I am doing it for charity) just sent me this exact picture. He is pissed because he bought 36 Coke cans and they all have "Michigan" on them. He is refusing to drink them but the store wouldn't take them back. I am so happy this ruined his day ;-)

Hate to be the one to ask, but would someone mind helping a brother out and shipping me a few cases down to South Carolina? Somewhere along the line this year my usual Yuengling on game days has turned into Meyer's Rum and Coke. If the coke were coming out of these cans I might feel like a man again!
