Michigan Coaches Tour in Chicago Tonight - Mag. Mile Marriott
Chicago Alums/Fans, the Sports-O-Rama is tonight aka the Coaches tour... It was a fun event last year and is for charity (scholarships)/supports the alumni association.
Obviously Hoke, Beilein, and Red will be there...
Several hundred attended last year, and there are tickets available at the door:
I was under the impression that I would get a ticket in the mail. I signed up last Monday and have not gotten anything yet.
Do I need a ticket to get in or is there a guest list? I would really like to know before I leave tonight.
As for the items, here is a short list of what they are auctioning off:
- Two Tickets to the U of M vs. Alabama game in Dallas
- Four Tickets to the U of M vs. Air Force game in Ann Arbor
- Four Tickets to Cubs vs. Tigers, June 13th in Wrigleyville
- Four Tickets to White Sox vs. Blue Jays, July 6th, with parking pass and fireworks
- Signed items by Coach Hoke, Coach Beilein, and Coach Berenson
- Signed commemorative Sugar Bowl tickets in display case with Sugar Bowl watches
- Signed Lacrosse jersey from the first season
- Signed Desmond Howard Football
- Signed Brendan Morrison Hockey Jersey
- Signed Dhani Jones mini-helmet
- Signed Earnie Banks baseball
- Signed Paul Konerko baseball
- Signed Alexei Rameriz baseball
- And much, much more.
Yeah, there are no tickets that I am aware of... I have none this year and none last year. There was a list last year and they crossed you off and handed you a nametag. I would print off your confirmation if you want to be on the safe side.
On the other hand, hundreds of people doesn't sound so good. As a 21 year old unpaid firefighter I think that lessens my odds to win anything at the auction.
they have your name on a list at the door. You'll just need an ID, that's how they did it last year.
Damn finals. Wish I could go so hard.
Go So Hard-
To keep it real; solid; gangster.
To have gangster integrity with everything you do.

Just in case someone else is as confused as I was.
If I were in the Chicago area, I'd be there.
I would too, and hit Alinea for dinner afterwards.
Will be in a stupid staff meeting, in maryland, however :(
I'm planning on going. I will try to post some info afterwards.
Got back a little while ago. I had a great time. Most of the talk was stuff we all pretty much know, but it was interesting anyway. I honestly can't think of any coach I'd have replace either Hoke, Beilein, or Red. They are awesome.
