When the Wolverines took off from State College at 4:35 p.m. following their 71-65 win over the Nittany Lions, MSU was winning 22-9 and “we weren’t very optimistic.” When they landed at Willow Run Airport and switched on their phones, they saw Ohio State’s deficit was “manageable,” Beilein said by phone tonight.
The bus ride featured a group watching on Josh Bartelstein’s phone linked through his Slingbox while the coaches watched on a cell phone video feed – a maddening few seconds behind the other group.
Once they got to Ann Arbor and the PDC, they raced inside and watched the final five minutes together – including OSU wing William Buford’s game-winner with a second left – and exploded.
“It was tremendous,” Beilein said a few hours later, clearly still buzzing.

Said Derrick "The Dick" Nix: "We had to share it with our little nephews, and that sucks. So now they're happy because we lost. We got to just try to win this Big Ten tournament."

Is there a more self-defeating, low-self-esteem, jealous-of-the-better-and-bigger-brother bunch in America than Spartan fans?

Soudns like Sparty REALLY hates it when they lose and Michigan somehow wins. This is like the B1G FB championship weekend all over again.

I can't ever remember UM fans pissed TWICE about a loss - losing a game and seeing another team (MSU or OSU) benefit. It's one big fat loss, and the pictures in Least Lansing with 1 second left WERE AWESOME!

That sort of intensity is exactly why this team has won a B1G title. You can't fake it. And I'm sure it isn't just during the games. Looks at that man's ripped torso. He obviously brings the same intensity to practice and the weight room. All the talent in the world can't replace that drive to win. I'm so proud that these young men represent UM.

We owe everything to one very special group of young men.

No, not who you think.

Yes, that's right...

Thanks guys. We never could have gotten there without you.

OMG! This is awesome but the best part was seeing how classy coach B was during his interview. We are very fortunate to have such a great coach and leader for our basketball program. The future is bright. GO BLUE!!

That's a tremendous video. I feel so happy for the players but maybe even more-so for Beilein. He seems like such a good guy and I hope he gets the recognition from outside the Michigan family that he truly deserves molding this team into champions.

Aparently, the buckeyes were trailing 22-9 when they got on the plane.

You realize, this article requires a Zack Novak: Extreme Bus Driver photoshop thread.

"So, he told the bus driver to step on it.

"Zack wanted to drive the bus," quipped teammate Tim Hardaway Jr., "like he was NASCAR or something like that. He was going insane.

"That’s Zack being Zack."

I am going to miss this kid SOOOOOOO bad.

It is nice to see how far the program has come. CJ Lee and David Merritt started things going in the right direction. Novak  and Douglass have carried it on from there. It will be interesting to see who steps up next as the leaders.

I got so amped up during this year's game, towards the end when the issue was in doubt, I had to take off my shirt because A: I was hot as heck and sweating like a pig and B: I was afraid I'd tear it in nervous frustration.

He's built a little* better than me, though.

Congrats, guys.   I'm glad you made it back to Ann Arbor to savor the moment.    It's only fitting that it's a 3-way tie since UM, OSU, & MSU split with each other.
