Always looking for ideas to add to what I have.  I have more in there now since this video was taken.  I have a couple of flags in it and things like that.  I am open to suggestions.  Let me know what you think.

Also I am aware that it is really long and I need to use editing software.  I am a talker what can I say.

Thanks,

Sorry to say this, but the picture of your face on Chad Henne's body kind of looks like Ryan Mallet.... the Michigan man cave is pretty sweet though. I would be lucky to have half the stuff you have. Unluckily for me, my fiance is a Notre Dame fan...but she's coming around. Good stuff man!

Hey, we don't get to have basements here in Austin, either!

I think it's for totally different reasons, though. I assume in Tampa it's an issue of ground water, but here there's just too much solid rock that blasting it all in order to have a basement isn't worth it.

And that's your Southern Architecture daily fun fact! You're welcome.

The big helmet on/under glass looks great. I'd probably be terrified of walking up and down those stairs, though, lest it go all The Omen on me. One thought, though, you mentioned adding flags to either side of the helmet, but I think it looks good by itself. You don't want it to get too cluttered.

I would suggest a frames signed michigan jersey.  It would probably fit nicely on the wall where the ping pong table is.

Where did you get the Charles Woodson free press photo.  I would love one for my "Man Cave"

The helmet, pff, prestine. Haha I laughed at that little phrase, I don't know why, and I also laughed at the Henne picture.  As stated above I was sure you put a picture of Mallet in there for Henne's face until you said it was you.

On a side note it looks great, and I look forward to the day when I get married with my own home, and get to build my MIchigan man cave/nest/lair/whatever you want to call it.

Everything looks pretty good. Would have been nice to get the original solid yellow block M for the wall. The fathead on the table and glass is sweet. If it was me I'd move the hats upstairs.

Like the room so far.  My fiance and I are in the process of buying a house in Safety Harbor and since there is no basements down here my fiance gave me permission to turn the two car garage into bar / man room of Michigan!! its great to have a girl that supports a good cause!

I think it could be a little shorter but at least you have me a couple ideas for my future room.  I have a Michigan room right now but once we buy a new house there will be a designated area for the Michigan/sports room/bar and like you Georgia has a lack of basements so I might be forced to move to a large room upstairs.  If I had to give suggetions I would say more collectables.  I like autographs, old ticket stubs, old papers, etc...

Upon dreaming about one day having a Man cave, this thread is good for ideas.  But in a way I'm slightly torn, because I'm also a huge Redwings fan.  So I think I might do a half Michigan half Redwings room.  Hmm....I'm not sure.  I'd feel bad if i didn't at least rep the Redwings in the room also.

Florida Blue please dont show me a picture of your wife while saying the words "man cave".   You tube has a pause button and what I did was wrong.

Very good start but I have some concerns.

Somewhere, somehow, someone conviced you that the large rat in your home is a dog.  Go back to the beach in Mexico where your wife found that thing and give it back.

* If you attach a couple of fishing weights to the bottom of your Championships banner it will hang better and not crinkle.

* The pictures are awesome and you might consider frame placards to commemerate the game, score and date.

* More Maze and More Blue in the room (walls/carpet) otherwise the wife might one day attempt conversion.  Imagine the Champions banner against that wall in Michiugan Blue!

* I did not get the sense as to what about Michigan is special to you.  In my Michigan Man Cave I comemmorate Bo through lithorgraph, books and signature items.  I get you are an M fan but not sure what stands out to you.  5 foot helmet-cool-now get Tom Harmons off e-bay or something.  What is the center piece?

* You mentioned "when the kids come" be careful as the LAST thing you want is to miss a week of M football for life becuase you lacked the discipline to concieve at the appropriate time.  I have three Daughters that are bron in April, June and August respectively meaning conception can only be considered from September through December.  Anniversary?  August wedding was hot as hell but I got a great rate on the hall.

* I would have liked to have heard your sound system blast Hail To The Victors loud enough to make your rat pee on the carpet.

I really like your idea to have pennants for all the Big Ten schools. That's a nice touch that adds some variety to the awesome maize and blue, plus it mimics a lot of the Big Ten stadiums.

Those floating shelves on the stairway are cool and I think it would be awesome to put a few more around the room for your smaller items, like that signed Jason Avant mini-helmet. If you want to get really professional, inlay a small light above or underneath for a museum-style display.

If you can't tell, I've got some ideas for mine but I need to buy a place first. Keep the updates coming. Great work, I'm jealous.

you should put a bar in the corner with the ping pong table. I don't know if drinking is your bag, but a cold beer from behind a rich mahogany bar only feet away always tastes better than a beer from the downstairs fridge many more feet away.

Thanks for the video of the Man Cave.  It's great to get some ideas (currently I'm in an apartment, but hopefully in the next few years I'll be 'settling').  As you update, share more videos.  I'd love to see other folks' Michigan man caves.
