We will beat sparty enough said.
December 30th, 2012 at 3:31 PM ^
The last prediction of victory didn't go well, but today is a different day. /hopespringseternal
December 30th, 2012 at 3:33 PM ^
Lot of anti-UM people here
December 30th, 2012 at 4:26 PM ^
A bunch of butthurt rejects you mean?
December 30th, 2012 at 4:45 PM ^
Something like that. All the WMU and Tech fans are cheering against us. To be fair to them, I'm sure I would feel the same way if some other team had owned us for a decade or so
December 30th, 2012 at 3:43 PM ^
Damn, Guptill went hard into the boards.
December 30th, 2012 at 3:44 PM ^
Moffie! 1-0 U-M!!
December 30th, 2012 at 3:52 PM ^
Yay, Guptill's back!
December 30th, 2012 at 4:01 PM ^
FUCK! They tied it up.
December 30th, 2012 at 4:05 PM ^
Chelios had an unbelievable chance out front, but didn't even get a shot off. He's nowhere near as good as his father, that's for sure
December 30th, 2012 at 4:35 PM ^
Did Red even try to recruit him? Chris went to Wiscy, but I can't imagine him advising his son to pick East Lansing over Ann Arbor if he wasn't going to his dad's school.
December 30th, 2012 at 4:07 PM ^
SHIT! They score again.
December 30th, 2012 at 4:08 PM ^
MSU scores again
December 30th, 2012 at 4:14 PM ^
Red has lost this team.
December 30th, 2012 at 6:36 PM ^
I am hoping "Red has lost this team" was /s...
December 30th, 2012 at 4:31 PM ^
I can only hope this team can not completely embarrass themselves the rest of the year. The tourney-streak is done, but let's not piss all over ourselves while we're at it
December 30th, 2012 at 4:37 PM ^
This is a very dissapointing season so far and it does not look like that will change anytime soon.
December 30th, 2012 at 4:38 PM ^
...Trouba scored again for the US against Canada today. The Canucks beat us 2-1, though. Looks like he's the best player on two teams at once.
December 30th, 2012 at 4:56 PM ^
If the US beats Slovakia, they're in the quarters as a 3rd seed, facing the 2nd seed from Group A (currently the Czech Republic).
December 30th, 2012 at 4:48 PM ^
Chris Brown, why did you leave?
December 30th, 2012 at 5:08 PM ^
Brownie would have helped this dysfunctional Offense, but our defense would have still blown
December 30th, 2012 at 5:13 PM ^
I think if Trouba was here things would be much different.
December 30th, 2012 at 5:24 PM ^
2-2!!
December 30th, 2012 at 5:25 PM ^
Copp with the goal. And then he draws a penalty.
December 30th, 2012 at 5:26 PM ^
Kevin Lynch PPG!!!! 3-2 U-M!!
December 30th, 2012 at 5:28 PM ^
GO BLUE!
December 30th, 2012 at 5:28 PM ^
We finally play like we give a damn and look what it gets us. Two goals in less than a minute
December 30th, 2012 at 5:30 PM ^
I don't know if they're special ones or the normal ones for the season, but I really like these jerseys. They look like a much better change than any of the football jerseys did.
December 30th, 2012 at 5:38 PM ^
Phil diGiuseppe!!! 4-2!!!
December 30th, 2012 at 5:39 PM ^
Holy shit! SC top 10?
December 30th, 2012 at 5:39 PM ^
Finally! Only his 3rd goal this year. Hope this gets him going.
December 30th, 2012 at 5:54 PM ^
Dammit, Treais! WTF? 5 min major, elbow to the head.
December 30th, 2012 at 5:58 PM ^
Argh, post on shot down the ice, but then goal awarded for throwing the stick. 5-2 U-M.
Edit: Hyman had a breakaway on an empty net.
December 30th, 2012 at 6:01 PM ^
Great job by our PK, keeping Sparty 0/4 and getting a shortie.
December 30th, 2012 at 6:01 PM ^
He should lose the C for that elbow to the head, it was selfish, unnecessary, and dangerous. Luckily our PK come through with an empty netter. plays like that are the epitome of what's wrong with this team.
December 30th, 2012 at 6:10 PM ^
I think the elbow to the head was an accident partly. He meant to elbow him for sure, but Treias was turned up-ice and might not have seen that the guy was falling forward.
That said, it's a stupid move either way since the guy's already tussling with another player and you don't need to get involved and elbow him. And maybe it was on purpose. But that's how FYS plays, not Michigan (see: the game where FYS originated).
December 30th, 2012 at 6:58 PM ^
I'd like to take a look and see for myself, but I'm not in an area with FSD and a quick search of YouTube and MGoBlue didn't yield anything yet.
December 31st, 2012 at 2:38 AM ^
Seriously? Hoping this was an exaggeration. Moffie bumped the guy into Treais' path and he got one bad penalty. Lose the C for it? Get real.
December 30th, 2012 at 6:01 PM ^
Michigan wins 5-2!!! Let's hope this is springboard for 2013.
December 30th, 2012 at 6:02 PM ^
4 in the 3rd... GAME. BLOUSES.
HA!L
December 30th, 2012 at 6:29 PM ^
THANK YOU!
This was a great win and a very needed one at that. Michigan will have a little time off and a weird schedule coming up. Exhibition with US Under 18 team Friday which will be on Xfinity and bowling green at Yost on 1/8. A tuesday night.
December 30th, 2012 at 9:21 PM ^
Michigan Tech 2, WMU 0 in the 3rd period
December 30th, 2012 at 9:49 PM ^
Tech Wins 4-0
Pheonix Copley first goalie to shut out both opponents.
December 31st, 2012 at 12:12 AM ^
Except for Billy Sauer in 2007 blocking all 88 shots over the two games and playing into double overtime in the championship game.
December 31st, 2012 at 11:01 AM ^
Steve Shields taught him well!
December 30th, 2012 at 9:50 PM ^
Wow. tech wins the GLI for the first time since Pearson was a player in 1980.
December 31st, 2012 at 11:11 AM ^
What is FYS? Sorry, it is State?
