Michigan basketball vs Ohio Open Thread [Come on back if you want]

Submitted by San Diego Mick on

Okay folks, the time is almost here, big game, big opportunity to make a statement.

BEAT ohio!!!!

Edit: Party moves to the other thread: Michigan basketball vs Ohio Open Thread (2nd half). I'll open this one up again after the game finishes, I just can't follow both at this pace on my own. JGB.

Apologies for any problems this caused. Like I said, I just couldn't do both at the same time. Comments back on about twelve minutes after being disrupted.

Didn't set his feet. Would've liked to have seen Burke with the ball in that instance...Craft is on him and he absolutely CAN'T pick up a 3rd foul.

Give it to Burke and let him go right at Craft, he pretty much has to give you 2 points rather than commit a foul.

I know this and I'm sitting on my living room coach. The guys on the foul have to understand this as well.

Of ball I have seen Hardaway play. Not sure where his head is today? 12 is not a huge deficit, just need to play as a team and pull this one out!

than mangable BUT FOR FUCK SAKE. Enough with the fucking turnovers!!! 8 in the first half is bull shit and only shooting 9/15 from the field is horse shit. Need to just play our game. This Ohio St team SUCKS DICK. They are not strong. We need to wake up and play like the #1 team we should be. Wake the fuck up stop the fouls and turnovers and play defense. Not over by a long shot. Time to pull out a shocker.

Points return after national signing day (and I felt I gave you the benefit of the doubt by deleting the first "fuck Hardaway" post).

"Fuck Hardaway"- not okay, likely to lose ponts/ban.

"Hardaway is playing poorly and shouldn't be taking this shot"- perfectly acceptable, reasonable fan talk.

Don't be the guy that crosses the line.

Ended the half on a good note, a 14-5 run or similar.  If we come out of the gate at the half and pull the game to within a few, well, alright then.

Time for Ohio State to go 7+ minutes without a basket I say, hah.

...and nearly pulled it out. I think IU is better than ohio; I think we are better than Minny.

Still a lot of BB to be played. I like the zone D and if THJ gets going and Trey calms down...

Terrible half, but the deficit can be overcome.  If we value the basketball like we usually do (no more no-look passes to Ohio) and just settle down and take high-quality shots, we can come back.

Where was Stauskas the first half?
Burke,Hardaway, Nik and GRIII combined for 11 points first half. If they can get a couple of those guys going we can pull this out.

The biggest thing is limit the turnovers, OSU has 15+ points off turnovers, if we can eliminate that and do our thing I've got great confidence.  Ohio State is not that good of a team.

Too much animation on that OSU scorer's table. It's pretty distracting. I'm starting to wish LED lights and flat screens had never been invented. They can be so intrusive. I want to put my attention where I want to put it, not where the lost lives forfeited to careers called "marketing" want me to put it. For me and maybe me only, the "screen generation" cons are currently outweighing the pros.

Only Albrect seems to have shown up to play, unaffected.... the rest of the team, especially Robinson, are playing both soft, and scared, but worst, intimidated.

This sucks because I actually expected this, but hoping I'd be wrong. When getting blown out like that, it isn't skill, but totally MENTAL.
