How is that not a foul?

So grabbing a guy by the neck isnt a foul????
How the hell was that not a foul?! And an intentional one!
Damn these refs. That nearly took THJr's arm off.
But no call at all?

Nice take and decision by THJ...home team no-call apparently.
That was bullshit, no foul called on an elbow to the face?????????????

All you guys who kept pining for Hardaway to be benched... yeah.

Yup.

Hardaway stepping the fuck up.
Love to see it.
Out of those two possessions at the end of the half.

Our flowchart's K(m) today is inferior to theirs, but I think our V(max) could wind up superior nevertheless.

Offense is alive, now let's play some defense.

Ok. Time to play smart and assert ourselves.
Getting hammered down low. Dammit. This why we need post presence.

Ugh, I hate when we can't get anything to fall
He hooks the defender EVERY TIME!

Someone tell Burke & THJ that there's 3:00 on the clock yet.
This small lineup was a bad idea...

This win would mean a ton. Lets do this, boys!
But man it's going to feel worse than just getting waxed if it ends up being just a tease.

is there any doubt now, that OSU's spurn is in Burke's head ? This BY FAR is the worst hes ever played. air ball ? wtf
Threes. Nice comeback being thwarted by bad shot selection and everyone just standing around on offense.

This one is over...

This is what I was afraid of; they claw their way back, and once they get the tie, they start taking dumb shots that got them into the hole in the first place and Ohio rolls out to a big lead once again.
Gave the game away after the tie. God fucking damn it
because I expected to lose a tough road game against one of these amazing big ten opponents. But fer god sakes these refs need to call fouls equally for both sides. We can win a 5 on 5 game, we can't win a 5 on 7.
#Team 134
I thought the reffing was actually fairly consistent (for the first game I've watched when playing OSU). It was a physical game and both teams got lucky on a few fouls that helped them out. As far as basketball games go I really can't complain about the reffing this game although not counting Trey's shot at the end really hurt a bit.
It was okay, but I did get pissed on a couple calls:
- When THJ got smashed/knocked completely to the ground, no call (but they did give M the inbound play on an out of bounds ball)
- When Burke was pulling up for a shot that he made, and the refs called it on the floor even though he was in a shooting motion
If Burke makes that 2 and then the and one, it's a tie game, we go into OT with all the momentum, and it could've been a different story.
You mention the physicality of the game, and I agree, the refs let a lot of contact happen for both sides and were consistent there, until the end of the game. The refs suddenly started calling ticky tack fouls.
None of this is an excuse, or an attempt to validate our ridiculously bad play in the first half. Just a few thoughts I had about the refs.
HAIL.
I'm glad to see us at least dig ourselves out of a hole. The past few years I think that's something we've been good at and I was wondering if it would still be there with a lot of new players. Hopefully next time it happens it also comes with a win.
Since the turn of the century against Ohio State...
3-9 in football
6-20 in basketball
How is that possible!

HOW IS THAT NOT A FOUL?!?!?!
