Illinois scored the same number of points (53) tonight as they did Saturday at Michigan State.  With that score they beat State by 7 and lost to Michigan by 31.

I'm here for the posbang.  I was only alive for half the championship season in '85-'86.  So, I'm unsure if I can claim this as my second in my lifetime.

What a well played, efficient pressure game we played, dominated from the start, ala the Florida game in the elite 8 last year. I'm looking forward to some more fun times in the tourney!!!

But I might as well say...... This team has been a pleasure to watch. Who knows if we get another magical ride in the tournament, but these guys played to their potential all year, and got better through adversity. THEY deserve this championship, and we are lucky to have been fans. Go Fn Blue!!!!
