On the flip side, keeping Evan means no open scholarship for Spike or Levert.  Best case scenario we only get one of those guys if he stays.

I actually thought Smot was a decent player, but I don't think he was mentally tough enough to take criticism.  I remeber Novak laying into one time late in the 2012 season at Penn State.  The guy did a lot of good stuff for us, but he needed thicker skin.

Considering Maryland didn't even make the NIT last year, I'm not sure why they are chanting.

It's a "proud" basketball school that finally made the tournament for the first time in years.  The fact their fans can't handle it well doesn't really surprise me.

They'll probably get knocked out in the first weekend, so might as well enjoy their best season in years while it lasts.

The timing of our injuries and our schedule was a nightmare.  We had one off ROAD games against two mediocre teams that I am pretty confident we would beat at home. (Maryland and Indiana)   The sad thing is both those wins would have qualified as QUALITY if we got a home game with them.   But we didn't get that.

Example:  Michigan State is clinging to a quality win against Ohio State and doesn't have to make the return trip to Columbus (pretty much a guranteed loss, probably in blowout fashion)

With a favorable schedule, you can kind of manipulate people into thinking you are a better team that you really are.

Maryland has been trashed multiple times by teams on the road.  They avoided playing at Wisconsin.

Pretty much a fools gold team.  They will be gone after 1 or 2 games in tournament.

Chatman and MAAR played well I thought. Chatman looks like he is gaining his confidence back and he made some nice plays. Rahk made a lot of hustle plays rebounding.  I firmly believe we have the brightest future of any Big Ten team, and that's without including Robinson and Wilson into the equation.
