Nothing too surprising.  I'm glad Stu was recognized for his defense - I feel so many people overlook that part of his game.  He's a pretty good off-the-ball defender.

I also love that we have a "Charge Award."  I'm sure Sparty loathes that.

They probably could have given Darius Morris the Most Improved Player award also, but I like that Jordan Morgan got it.  I don't think we, as fans, ever got to see what Morgan looked like in practice last year before his injury, surgery, and red-shirt.

Yeah I agree about the recognition for Stu. Glad to see Novak get the recognition he deserves as well. I could see either Morgan or even Darius getting the Rudy Tomjanovich Most Improved Player Award, both had big years and showed improvement throughout the season; especially from last season to this season.

I feel like hardaway should have won SOMETHING. With that said, looking at the specific awards I can't think of anything to really give him. If there was a freshman award it would be all his....

Long story short, Tim Hardaway Jr. has been invited to the USA U19 World Championship tryouts, scheduled for June 16-23 in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Should Hardaway make the team, the U19 World Championships are from June 30-July 10 in Riga, Lativa. Former Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt will coach the team and will be assisted by St. Mary’s head coach Randy Bennett and Jacksonville University coach Cliff Warren.

Although Hardaway didn't win any of the awards, he was recognized at the banquet:

Michigan coach John Beilein also told the crowd that freshman guard Tim Hardaway Jr. has been invited to the USA U19 World Championship tryouts, scheduled for June 16-23 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
