Michigan Baseball to Play Make-Up Game at Citi Field vs. Seton Hall on Tues.
The May 14 game, scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., is a make up for the March 26 game at Citi Field vs. Yale that was rained out. From the press release:
Michigan is set to face Seton Hall for the second time in school history and the second time in as many years. U-M defeated the Pirates 2-1 at the Big Ten/Big East Challenge in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Feb. 18, 2012.
Before the Citi Field game, Michigan baseball hosts Purdue for a three-game series this weekend. This Inside Michigan Baseball feature has a preview, along with a review of the team's recent games:
so we're making up the Yale game, but not against Yale, but at the same venue across the country. against seton hall
sounds legit
Certainly a little odd. But it could be a win, and it is cool to play in that type of venue. Every win could give Michigan confidence to help propel them into the Big Ten Tournament, and potentially the NCAA tournament with a BTT championship.
Can one get tickets? I haven't been able to find any listings and don't want to take a subway out to Queens just to get turned away. I read something unreliable saying it was only open to families & guests of players.
That info you read appears correct. Found this on Seton Hall's site:
Please note, this is a closed event to the public and only select invited family members of the student-athletes will be permitted to attend.
Danke.
