@ND. Weather permitting, I'll be heading down to South Bend for that 6 pm game vs. the Irish (15-11). Forecast for Tuesday is sunny and mid-40s. Go Blue Baseball!

Great start to B1G play.

Northwestern hit a grand slam in this game and Michigan still managed to come from behind and win it.

The ND game will be on ESPN3.

Disappointed there was no stream because today was a good game.

It was interesting that Ryan Nutof got the start today instead of Evan Hill. Nutof didn't last long and then Hill came in and pitched 4 innings in relief without giving up a run to earn the win. I wonder if they'll go back to Hill as the Sunday starter next weekend.

I suppose Nutof being the only righty among the top four starters might also factor into whether he gets a start against certain teams.

EDIT: FTR, Bakich said on WTKA this morning that they went with Nutof on Sunday instead of Hill because Northwestern has seven right-handed hitters in their lineup.

I have pitched in 4 or 5 M vs NU baseball games and sat the bench for another 4-5 games at least. I can tell you in my experience giving someone the start to pitch in front of their family would have absolutely never happened. You start the guy you most believe gives you the best chance to win. Period. Sometimes you are wrong and you switch to someone else but being in someone's hometown or family there or whatever was never ever a thing when I played.

I can't remember a game where both teams hit as many batters as they did today. Michigan plunked 2 baserunners from behind and Wenson spent the whole game picking balls out of the dirt. It was also a game where everything was hit hard. Very few balls were hit on the ground. Michigan was lucky to get out of a few jams with little damage.
