Michigan Baseball Up to 18th
After a 4-1 week, Michigan has jumped four spots to 18th in Baseball America's weekly poll. The Wolverines destroyed Eastern before sweeping three games from Nebraska over the weekend. The one loss was a "non-conference" loss to MSU. Sparty is a half game ahead of Michigan and Minnesota in the B1G standings and also has jumped into the top 25 at 23rd. This week's schedule: home Wednesday to Toledo and then three games at Iowa over the weekend. Toledo is 8-27-1 this year; Iowa is 6-6 in the B1G and 17-17 overall.

Is Bakich the lone bright spot of the Dave Brandon legacy?

Those numbers are last week's. Michigan is now #28!
The Big Ten amazingly has 9 teams in the top 100:

46. Michigan State
61. Rutgers
85. Nebraska

When I looked them up this morning, it said updated April 18.
Let's just say this isn't the first thing the NCAA screwed up this month.

Bakich certainly has a good track record. He took a Maryland program that was on the verge of being dropped and turned it into a respectable program. The Terp team that almost beat Virginia in the Super Regionals in 2014 was basically composed of all of his recruits.
RPI and be able to host a regional...Unlikely but hey one can dream cant one?
Actually Baseball America does project the field of 64 and the regionals and two weeks ago, Michigan was hosting a regional in Ann Arbor. I didn't check last week. They usually post the field of 64 on Wednesday.
like that...

Baseball America updated its projected field of 64 a little while ago. Michigan is a two seed in Nashville along with one seed Vanderbilt, three seed Virginia, and four seed Kent State. Interestingly, last year's NCAA final was Virginia beating Vandy. Four B1G teams are in the field: Michigan, Minnesota (3), Sparty(2) and Maryland (3). The Terps are among the last four in.
