Let's Go Blue! Plz beat Alaska.
Going for a split at home, just to get back to a 7th place tie with them. /sigh
Edit: TV = FSD+

DAMMIT! PPG them, 1-0.

Just like i said last night, Michigan as a team is affected by their goaltending situation. Again, tonight, first good shot, and goal. They need to addres this in the offseason, cannot go into next year with Racine and Rutledge as the goaltenders.

That does not help either, that they cannot do anything on the PP. Last night they had 4 PP's, scored zero, and gave up one. This is just one of those years, one that this program has not seen in 20 + years.

Recruiting in NCAA hockey requires a team to get after players very early. There are no elite uncommitted goalies for the 13-14 season.

Or are you listening to the radio or LiveStats?
January 12th, 2013 at 7:57 PM ^
I listen to every game on the radio. The BGSU game last week was the only game I've seen all year.

I really wish there was a way to buy a "Wolverine Network" or something similar, to see hockey games not picked up by BTN or other non-revenue events. I'd be down to pay a fee to catch 15 hockey games and 20 softball games, maybe with lacrosse and WBB or something else mixed in if it could be priced reasonably.
They could even make it a joint venture with MSU or OSU or something. There's more than enough programming there to make it worth ten bucks a month or something, depending on your interests. They already have to have camera crews at a lot of those games (or at least have the equiptment sitting there). Connect it with the broadcast departments at each school and it's an academic draw as well.

email to DB last year asking for this. I got a response back and he (or his aides) said they were looking at "all possibilities" whatever that means.
I offered to pay 10/month for MgoTV.

We can't score on the powerplay so if Alaska keeps going to the box, we won't score tonight. Sneaky Nanooks.

I have never seen Michigan this bad in hockey, very sad year.

they were worse in my college days but started turning it around with roberts and felsner. too bad the streak is going to end. very impressive run indeed.

Yeah, they showed a clip of the AK goalie behind the net and losing the puck to a M player who came in at the side of the net. He had an open net, but taking two touches gave the goalie time to get his stick down on the ice from behind the net and make the save.

But Mike Knuble ('91-94) has been invited to Wings camp.

Can we refuse this penalty?

2-1 now.

they're not bad on an individual level, but they come together to make a terrible team

We need to score next. Too many times this season we've been looking up from the wrong end of a multi-goal deficit.

is far less popular than the NFL playoffs. The other thing is that many people are unable to get FSD, but can get Fox and CBS. Also, like you said, the team isn't doing a whole lot to get fans excited this season. In addition, the game was at Yost, so a lot of people who do follow the team closely aren't replying because they're cheering in person.

They actually played half decent, but Janecyk is just not good enough.

January 12th, 2013 at 9:52 PM ^
Intentional?
Thanks tho
January 12th, 2013 at 10:01 PM ^
More likely incidental. Intentional would be a major and you get tossed.
Trouba reached up to grab the puck, found a guy in his face, got his arms out to protect himself, and, well, he's tall.
