like I said on twitter: that was almost as intense as Iowa NIT games

Is it worth it to head down there now? Or is the line too long already?
Inspiring haters to hate since 1817.
I've been here for about 30 minutes and am still a good distance away and the the line just keeps getting longer behind me
Go Blue or Die
I got there around 4:30 and I was about 20-30th in line. Between then and 5 no one will really showed up, but after that the line just blew up. I just left and the line snaked down the length of the baseball stadium and halfway down the length of Yost. Insane line.
Johnny Sears jersey. I almost want to purchase it.

I'm happy to report that that offending piece of merchandise was still hanging, unclaimed, when the sale ended.
Selection was pretty impressive at the beginning, although people were tearing it up. Scored a game worn James Rogers jersey and a baseball jersey.
Ghosts are scary.
What were prices like?
New Oldsmobiles are in early this year.

I got in line about 715 and by the time i got in there was still alot of stuff. im assuming the good jerseys were gone, but i got a no. 94 nike jersey, football pants, a sweet adidas windbreaker and a practice football for 95 bucks. I look like garret rivas when i put it on though.
You know, Dude, I myself dabbled in pacifism once. Not in 'Nam of course.
Anyone selling any of this stuff? I live in Ohio and coudnt go. Im especially looking for a Nike grey hoody Medium if possible.

I imagine alot of poeple would be selling stuff. There were people there with enough stuff to stock a Dunhams. It was borderline disturbing to be grabbing that much stuff.

I had planned on going, but decided against it after reading how long the line was. I've never understood is why so many people are willing to to wait multiple hours in line just to buy things at a small discount.
Small discount? Most stuff was 75% off. Some stuff can't be found anywhere else. The one cool thing I saw was a pair of those Maize and Blue shoes that they came out with real briefly, selling for 25 bucks. However, the only pair I saw was a size 18. I'm not fitting into that.
yes, I got close to $500 of merch for $155 and 3 hrs of time.

If you really think about it though, you woke up at 4AM to wait in line for 3 hours for the opportunity to buy secondhand clothing. Whatever floats your boat, but I just don't understand it.
I think the bigger allure is the game-worn merchandise. That's not easy to find elsewhere. If you can manage to find an actual jersey (not an "authentic" one at M-Den, but one a player wore), you're going to pay a lot more than $50 for it.
If you don't want to wait in line forever, don't come when it opens. I got there at 10:30. There were still probably 100 jerseys for sale, and a lot of other stuff. There was no line to get in. I waited 25 minutes in line at the checkout for credit cards (though if I'd brought cash or a check, it would have been five minutes, tops). No big deal.
Not really any different then the day after Thanksgving. Cat's be lining up outside Best Buy for days to get stuff at a discount (not second hand). Not really any different here.
For some it is an opportunity to own another piece of the Michigan experience, and for others it is a chance to get a great deal. Different people have different priorities.
I bought a pair of Michigan hockey pants there about 6 years ago and they are by far the best ones that I have ever owned. I got them for about 1/3 of what I would have paid retail, they have survived many seasons on the ice, and they have the added benefit of having the Block M on them. What could be better?

Perticularly jerseys, climalite tshirts in large, Let me know... Will pay cash (or paypal)
Sorry but traveling from California wasn't happening
I do hope people are selling stuff, being in Madison a bit tough to get to.
Also, anyone that bought an extra jersey, sweatshirt or polos let me know looking for XL stuff to buy. Thanks
They had a David Cone jersey and the adidas QB jerseys from the spring game two years ago.
I bought the Cone jersey. It is 100% awesome. Proud owner.

Please never put that up for bids. I wouldn't stop til I got it, and couldn't afford it if I did.
The person who bought it?
I put up a tough front, but deep down I just want to be held.
Hmm, it wasn't I who down-voted you. Sounds like you got the pick of the litter. Congrats!

was the 10 year old kid walking around in a Nick Sheridan jersey. It fit him perfectly. No wonder 2008 happened.

I wouldn't be too hard on Nick. Did you try any of those jerseys on? They are made to fit very snuggly in the arms and mid-section. (Oblivously to discourage the others guys pulling you down by your jersey.) They are nothing like the store bought "authentic" football jerseys. There is no way that the real deal can be comfortably worn unless you are in really good shape, naturally thin or a kid.
They are really long too. I saw a woman wearing one and it looked like a dress. Actually, she looked really damn good.
"Nobody cares what you think!"
Really wanted to go but was not able to make the garage sale. Any idea how often the AD has the sale?
I think this was the first football one in a few years. There were a ton of Nike-made jerseys for sale, which must date back to at least 2007, so I'm guessing that was the last year they had one. Hockey/basketball sometimes have them in the spring.
i got a practice jersey (no name, number 7) that is what i think of as old school maize - that deeper goldenrod. it has elastic at the bottom of the jersey and the sleeves. the brand is something random, not nike or adidas - i think it starts with a t and it's two words. anyone know when we used practice jerseys not produced by nike/adidas? i checked on ebay and didn't see anything similar.

I just got up myself, but after I fulfill my parental obligations and take the kids to the pool (looks like the indoor one will work better today), I am going to try and swing by.
