Michigan 1998 Hockey Jersey I found in my basement

Submitted by WingsNWolverines on

Since Michigan's amazing OT thriller victory over BC in the 1998 NCAA Hockey National Championship I always wanted that jersey they were wearing cause in my opinion it was my favorite of the 90s of Michigan's maize jerseys. Now that I have found it years later I noticed how little I missed it as the years went by. Like all my hockey jerseys she is in excellent condition with no marks, snags, tears or lose threads to be seen on this beauty. The word MICHIGAN is heat pressed on the front in cursive and the two M hockey logos on each shoulder are also heat pressed.  As a Michigan fan I already own two Michigan hockey jerseys and this one is my third. I usually keep these but since I already have the two I love the most I feel this one should go. In my opinion holding onto the past is important but also not necessary. I look towards the future of Michigan hockey and atheltics. Reason why I buy all current jerseys. This jersey however needs a loving Wolverine home and if you are interested I will be selling it for either 40.00 or 50.00. Free s/h also.  If you are interested my email is [email protected] And for the dirty minded people 69 stands for Michigan's epic upset over Woody Hayes in 1969.

Mind posting the picture? I'm not your buyer, but I am curious. And in spite of my curiosity, all attempts to Let Me Google That For Myself have proven fruitless.

I don't get the logic of only buying new jerseys. You have -the- jersey every longtime M Hockey fan covets... And you want to unload it? For the garbage Adidas is putting out?

and is being nice enough to sell one to the fans here at a very modest cost, so I for one am not going to question the logic. Just going to hope that the next time he feels like selling an old jersey it's a size small and I see the thread sooner.

"In my opinion holding onto the past is important but also not necessary."

You are completely clueless about what's really important in life. A half-wit would would know enough to not only keep that jersey, but to wear it lovingly until it's little more than a rag held together by threads, and then you'd extend its life by giving it to your son or your daughter or even your dog. Given what it represents it's sacred, but all you can think about how much money you'll get for it.

I has a sad for your empty, mercenary soul.

...frame that sucker and save it for life. That's one of the things he'll look back years from now and say, "Gee, I wish I had kept that sweater..."

Similar story, my mom found a hockey stick in our basement SIGNED by the 1966-67 Detroit Red Wings.  I don't have to tell you who is included in that list of players.  I sure am glad we kept it, as its now framed and hanging in my office.  I don't care what its worth to someone else, its worth even more to me.  Just like that sweater should be.
